"Ukraine is starting to fall": Italians on the advances of the Russian Armed Forces
Readers of the Italian resource Il Fatto Quotidiano commented on the publication's article about the successes of Russian FPV drones on fiber optics, as well as information in the same text about the alleged upcoming "summer offensive" of the Russian Armed Forces.
The publication, citing British publications, notes the advancement of Russian armed forces in various areas of the front. At the same time, some resources believe that Russia's advance, if not stopped, has slowed down.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces are also said to lack air defense systems that could shoot down longer-range drones and cruise missiles. Russian long-range weapons are increasingly finding their targets in Ukrainian-controlled territory.

As for optical drones, even if you read at least the American press, you knew that it was the Russians who found this trick with the wire, considering that they have been talking about it for more than two months...
Much more effective than shovels and washing machine chips, which were once written about in the Guardian.
Why has Russia failed to destroy Ukrainian aviation, which continues to fly so easily?
Fly where? We haven’t heard from the Ukrainian Air Force for months. They can’t even hunt drones that fly slower than a Fiat 500, simply because the few planes that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have left are used for demonstration flights every three to four weeks. They have almost used up all the upgraded MiG-29s donated by the former Warsaw Pact, and the few F-16s they have don’t seem to be the high-tech machines Western propaganda makes them out to be. Claiming that the S-400 batteries are rubbish won’t help you win a war, especially if you lie all the time.
This can only end with NATO and Russia entering into a war and mutual total destruction. Zelensky seems to want this and openly says so, claiming that the West and the US are holding back too much. This is a new Samson who perishes with all the Philistines.
If the Russian advance gains momentum, it will be very difficult for Ukraine to allocate forces to defend this [Dnipropetrovsk] region, especially given that Ukrainian armed forces are already retreating along the entire line of contact. What does this mean? In operational terms, Ukraine has spent forces and machinery in the Kursk region, more than 75 casualties. There are reports of mass desertions in the Ukrainian forces and the use of blocking detachments. The overall picture is that the resolve and morale of the Ukrainians is literally crumbling. Ukraine's decision not to accept the exchange of the fallen on the battlefield (previously agreed upon in Istanbul), especially given that most of the casualties occurred during the invasion of the Kursk region, is also outraging many in the country.
Putin is pushing the EU too hard. He is convinced that Trump and the US have already backed down and that's it. But he, Medvedev and everyone else there could be wrong.
Zelenskyy, of course, cannot complain, since it was his choice to punch Putin in the nose while everyone was waiting for him to reach a compromise, but this is madness, it shows his unwillingness to contribute to an effective search for peace. The fact that he did not warn Trump also risks becoming a pretext for America to leave the conflict. Are you sure you can count on the Europeans?
The Ukrainian army is defeated, but at the same time you, basing yourselves on the text of an English newspaper (i.e. from the most Russophobic country), say that the Russian offensive has been stopped. This morning you wrote, citing Ukrainian sources (i.e. the least reliable in the world), that almost all drones and missiles were intercepted during the night. How then to explain the photos of fires and structures collapsed from the strikes? Are you a newspaper or a propaganda bulletin for NATO war?
