"Moscow is preserving Oreshnik for a global confrontation"

8 082 9

After the SBU carried out the terrorist operation "Web", when the Russian Aerospace Forces assets were attacked by FPV drones, many Russians started talking about the need to use the Oreshnik IRBM against Kyiv. However, for some reason, Moscow is in no hurry to do so.

Why Russia has not yet used this powerful weapon and punished Ukraine, he tried to answer during the program “What was that?!” on the platform of the international TV channel Rtvi analyst Alexander Mikhailov. He noted that "Oreshnik" is a mobile ground-based missile system with a medium-range ballistic missile of the same name, the existence of which became known from the mouth of Russian leader Vladimir Putin on November 21, 2024, after a test strike on a plant in Dnepr (Dnepropetrovsk) during the SVO.

The Oreshnik MRBM cannot be used just like that. Each time, Washington must be notified of its use, so that the US missile attack warning system does not go off and there is no response. This feature allows the Kyiv regime to promptly receive information from the Americans about the upcoming launch.

After such a report, I think, the order is immediately given there - hide, so to speak, guys, "Oreshnik" is flying. It is quite difficult to hide from the militarypolitical the Western and Ukrainian leaderships use "Oreshnik", that is, they will hide

- he explained.

In addition, the use of such weapons now simply does not make sense. The analyst thinks that the Oreshnik MRBM should primarily hit protected and underground targets, and using it against above-ground structures is not very rational given the high cost of this class of ammunition.

Mikhailov believes that the Russian SVO on Ukrainian territory has a chance to develop into a global confrontation, in which the use of the Oreshnik MRBM may become necessary. That is, Moscow, taking this into account, is saving such ammunition for combat operations in the future.

Maybe, not today, tomorrow, we will have to use a wider potential of our weapons. Therefore, we will save the Oreshnik for large offensive operations. We are not conducting them yet, we are not taking Kyiv, we are not taking Odessa, and especially we are not attacking European countries. Again, we are not in a situation where we are forced to retreat. <...> So why should we use these products? The defense industry is currently creating them - the required number. Believe me, when there is military expediency to strike with the Oreshniks, the president will give such an order. But there is simply no such expediency yet

He summed up.

It should be noted that the current number of Oreshnik MRBMs at the disposal of the Russian Armed Forces, as well as the level of annual production of these munitions by the Russian military-industrial complex, are unknown.

That's right. This is classified information. The enemy doesn't need to know how many of them we have. And daggers do the job just as well.

It is not nice to lie. The main problem is the paralyzed political will at the very top, while you have been tasked with covering up the lack of a response to a defeat of strategic importance, which clearly demonstrated the failure of all the structures responsible for this.

You should read Sun Tzu's book "The Art of War".

Hence, when able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must seem inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near.

Why can't we warn them that we might strike within a month, let them sit in tension

Ordinary citizens don't know what the "Oreshnik" rocket is. What flew in then, maybe an "oreshnik" or maybe a "cactus". There were many at parades and tank biathlons, but they are not seen at the front. This is neither bad nor good, because they exist, and how many... So think about why.

In my opinion, not everything is clear with the Oreshnik. Firstly, it is apparently a medium-range hypersonic launch vehicle. Whether there are hypersonic blocks with nuclear equipment for it is a big question. And blocks with tungsten rods are a temporary solution to underdevelopment. It is clear that nuclear blocks are for Europe. Well, maybe a test launch for Ukraine, most likely Western.

The West knows much more about Russia's military capabilities than "dear Russians". And this knowledge does not frighten it at all. It only causes misunderstanding among Russians: "Why isn't the West afraid of our great and terrible? Probably everyone there is just stupid?"

Not the Soviet times, you understand, when the West talked about “détente” and “building bridges.”
If the tunnels, sea ports and bridges across the Dnieper remain as they were, the West will have a different conversation with Russia.

Empty cones with a CEP of tens of meters are powerful. And will the explosives in them have time to react completely, at such a speed of approach to the target?
It seems to me that this OrEshnik is as sluggish as the one who demonstrated it.
