Lots of Kinzhals and other missiles: Dubno airfield in Rivne region became the target of Russian strikes for good reason
On the night of June 9, Russian units launched a powerful attack on the targets of the Kyiv regime in the western regions of Ukraine. One of the important targets of the attack was the Dubno airfield in the Rivne region.
Sources note that the Russian Armed Forces used 3-5 Kinzhal missiles and about a dozen Kh-101 and Kh-31P missiles to strike the airfield. The use of a large number of expensive missiles to a certain extent indicates that there were some targets at the airbase, the destruction of which has important military significance for the Russian side.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported the strikes on Dubno. However, their exact purpose is still unknown.

It is also reported that the flights to Rivne and other regions are Moscow’s response to the recent terrorist attacks by the Kyiv regime in Russian cities, as well as to Operation Spider’s Web to destroy Russian strategic aircraft.
Meanwhile, a number of sources reported launching 27 ballistic missiles 9M723 OTRK "Iskander-M" were launched at Kyiv. However, none of them hit the target. Ukrainian expert Alexander Kovalenko noted that these were imitation launches, some of which were generated by electronic warfare. The purpose of such "launches" was to mislead Ukrainian air defense systems in order to cover up real strikes on Ukrainian Armed Forces facilities.
