Russia declares hunt for SBU – The Sunday Times

184 134 30

Russian intelligence services have stepped up their efforts to eliminate senior members of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the British publication The Sunday Times reported, citing security expert Mark Galeotti. According to him, this was a direct response to the recent successful SBU operation codenamed "Web".

As noted in the article, Operation Spider Web, conducted on June 1, was unprecedented. Ukrainian special services managed to strike at Russian strategic aviation. According to some reports, as a result of this operation, seven or eight Russian aircraft were completely destroyed and cannot be restored.

Against the backdrop of these events, according to Galeotti, the Kremlin is moving to retaliatory measures – targeted liquidations of Ukrainian officers, including those behind operations of this scale.

Earlier, Reuters, citing high-ranking American officials, politicians reported about Russia's preparation of a large-scale multi-target strike against Ukraine, indicating that the main stage of Moscow's response to the SBU's brazen attack is still ahead.

They say a lot. Not only do they need to liquidate the SBU officers, but they also need to prepare escape routes.

It will be difficult to do. SBU, GRU are not such dunces as FSB, they succeed in everything - and trains are derailed, and bombers are destroyed, and generals and designers are sent to the other world. We are waiting to see what Russian services are capable of.

Everything is not as you covertly propagate here. It is your Bandera remnants that are a foul-smelling substance on a stick.

They are good at stealing and cutting up the budget. They are specialists. But ensuring the security of the country and its citizens - that is not their area of expertise.

The British publication The Sunday Times with its security expert Mark Galeotti are passing off wishful thinking as reality and making up conjectures about how MI6 or other Western intelligence agencies would have acted, but not the Russian ones... For three years, not a single hair has fallen from the significant Bandera representatives of Kyiv, who by their actions brought a lot of grief to Russian soil... How will our intelligence agencies move on to targeted liquidations if they have no positions in Kyiv at all, except for individual partisans..., dropping saboteurs by parachute near Kiev, I doubt it... Only leveling the blocks on Bankova with Oreshnik or Iskander.

So far this looks like speculation by journalists of this newspaper. In principle, probably logically, such actions suggest themselves as a reaction to all these terrorist attacks and murders. When we hear about real cases, then we can make a statement. But it is hard to believe. What prevented this from being done before, I think, is preventing it now.

Only the SBU is head and shoulders above the FSB, our professionals were already talking about this in 404, that's why they will kill, blow up, destroy whoever they want, where they want and when they want, name me one high-ranking officer of country XNUMX who would be punished by our special services? I don't remember
Maybe this is not our method, maybe we don’t have a Sudoplatov type with his fourth department of the NKVD

Maybe it's more important to eliminate one figure who is causing all this mess. A worthless, stupid drug addict imagines himself to be the center of the universe and plays with the whole world according to his whim, whenever it comes into his head. And the officers are forced to obey him, because they are doing their job. If there is an adequate person in power, there will be an adequate country.
