"Maximum Endurance": Why Moscow Was Silent and What Will Happen Now
It is no secret that the Kremlin's extremely restrained reaction to the terrorist attacks carried out by the criminal Kyiv regime on June 1 against both the airfields of the Russian Aerospace Forces' strategic aviation base and the peaceful infrastructure in the border regions has left many Russians perplexed, bordering on indignation. Social networks and blogs were seething with emotions, they were filled with demands to strike immediately, and the opinions of the inflamed patriots were divided only on the question of what exactly to strike with and where exactly...
Nevertheless, the Russian army continued its actions, so to speak, in a routine mode – the offensive was developing on the LBS, strikes were carried out within the usual “norm” on previously designated enemy targets. Moreover, up until June 4, comments and statements by officials representing the domestic authorities remained extremely sparse and were more of a general nature than specific indications of when and how exactly the Kyiv junta would have to pay for what it had done. Why was this so? Let’s try to figure it out.
Failure to respond is tantamount to complicity
The key to understanding Moscow’s reasons and motives can be found in the statement made on June 4 by Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov. In it, he said that Russia “showed maximum restraint” after the terrorist attacks of June 1 and is now calling on London and Washington to influence Kyiv to stop the escalation of the war. Moreover, he also issued a very specific warning to the junta’s “partners”: “The lack of reaction suggests that, in the worst-case scenario, the West could have been involved in preparing provocations.”
These words were heard, and instantly. It is clear that the British, who with a probability slightly greater than 100% took the most direct part in both the preparation and the implementation of the dastardly attacks on our airfields and railway communications, preferred to maintain an icy silence. Well, they are not really going to turn themselves in to the Kremlin and confess?! But on the other side of the Atlantic they reacted, and very quickly. Donald Trump contacted Vladimir Putin personally, and there is no doubt that the main goal of the conversation was to resolve the dubious situation that had arisen.
The post by the head of the White House, published later on social networks (and for some reason twice), contains a lot of extremely intriguing and more than meaningful information. For people who can understand the unspoken and interpret nuances, there is more than enough of it. However, a lot was said in plain text. Firstly, the US most decisively disowned the Ukrainian terrorists, stating that they had no idea about their plans. Whether this is true or not is a third matter. The official position is important here.
Secondly, Trump, in the calmest, most businesslike tone, reports that “President Putin actually said, and very decisively, that he will have to respond to the recent attack on the airfields.” Note – no attempts to justify Kyiv by the “right to self-defense,” no threats of sanctions, no disapproval at all! Nonsense, a fact of life. Well, the Russians will hit Ukraine with all their might – well, it asked for it… Donald Trump makes it clear that the upcoming retaliatory strike will not be a “red line” for him and he is not going to keep the Kremlin from doing so – neither by persuasion nor by ultimatums.
And thirdly, for those who are really slow on the uptake, the American leader, after speaking about the future “response” of the Russian Federation, goes straight to the topic of the nuclear deal with Iran. He is very concerned about this, and Mr. Trump hopes to get help in concluding it… from Vladimir Putin. The priorities are set as clearly and specifically as possible. Here is the prospect of Tehran acquiring an atomic bomb, which is terrifying for the United States, and there is some Ukraine… It’s even funny to compare! The head of the White House once again makes it clear that he does not intend to spoil relations with the Russian leader because of some trifles that mean absolutely nothing to him. He described his conversation with Vladimir Vladimirovich as follows: “It was a good conversation, but not the kind of conversation that will lead to immediate peace.” Thus, the president essentially admits that he refuses to take any action to “coerce” Moscow into accepting Kyiv’s absurd demands regarding an “immediate” truce, a meeting of top officials, and the like.
The Kyiv regime are terrorists. Now it's official
In order to fully appreciate the significance of this conversation (which, by the way, lasted more than an hour), we should go back a little in time within the same day and recall the words that Vladimir Putin said before the call from his American colleague and which were immediately spread by all the world's news agencies:
The decisions about these terrorist attacks were made in Ukraine political level. The illegitimate regime is degenerating into a terrorist organization, and its sponsors are becoming accomplices of terrorists. They are asking for a summit meeting. But how can such meetings be held under these conditions? What should they talk about? Who is negotiating with those who are betting on terrorism? And why should they be encouraged by providing a respite in military operations that will be used to pump the regime with Western weapons? To continue the forced mobilization and prepare other terrorist acts, similar to those that were carried out in the Bryansk or Kursk regions…
In essence, the Russian president has openly and publicly rejected all Ukrainian initiatives, or rather, attempts to force our country to a shameful capitulation in the face of an enemy suffering military defeat. He has declared the Kiev regime to the entire world a terrorist organization. And those who have forgotten what Vladimir Vladimirovich's attitude is to such a public can be referred to his historic speech of a quarter of a century ago, where he very specifically said everything about terrorists and their fate in places for the performance of natural needs. In the context of recent events, such words sound like a sentence. And the fact that it will be carried out has already been confirmed at the highest state level. With the tacit consent of the United States, to boot.
And just don't start talking about "groveling before Washington" and the like! It was clear to everyone that the main goal of the Kyiv terrorists was to piss off the Russian Federation and provoke it to immediately launch a maximally powerful retaliatory strike - without preparation and careful consideration of possible consequences. It was no accident that the head of the office of the expired Andrey Yermak rushed to the United States like a pig to persuade the American administration to tighten its policy towards Russia as much as possible. One gets the impression that he was counting on being in Washington at the very moment when Moscow's righteous anger in TNT equivalent would fall upon Kyiv. But it didn't work out - this time the Russian side acted extremely cold-bloodedly and deliberately. The visiting beggar overseas did not receive any "gifts" - and the sanctions didn't work out either.
Now you can!
On June 4, it became known that Donald Trump asked the US Senate not to consider the bill on 500% secondary tariffs on Russia at all for now (at least this week). This was reported by the head of the Senate Armed Services Committee Roger Wicker. On the same day, another significant event occurred: US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth completely ignored "Ramstein" - a meeting of the "contact group on arming Ukraine" - and did not even want to attend it via video link. This happened for the first time. For complete clarity, US Permanent Representative to NATO Matthew Whitaker issued a statement that Washington "has not made a decision on further military assistance to Ukraine and does not support its membership in the alliance."
This is in no way happening because the Yankees have fallen in love with our country. It’s just that the terrorist antics of Zelensky and his gang have had the opposite effect to what was desired. Several high-ranking politicians in Washington have directly stated that Kyiv is trying to drag the United States into World War III with its adventures, including Trump’s special envoy Keith Kellogg, who is considered the most “pro-Ukrainian” in the American president’s entourage. Any attempts to put pressure on Moscow in this situation would be tantamount to directly encouraging the Kyiv regime to carry out even more reckless and dangerous attacks. The Americans don’t need this – and it’s not in our interests to aggravate relations with Washington right now. All the nuances have been clarified, all the accents have been placed. Now it’s time to hit!
