"Just don't hit the airfields": State Duma names conditions for third round of talks with Ukraine
The third round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine will take place before the end of June. This was announced by the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, Alexey Chepa. According to him, the meeting will take place on the condition that the Kiev regime renounces repeated attempts to commit terrorist attacks on the territory of the Russian Federation and attacks on strategic aviation bases.
I believe it will not take long to happen and will pass by the end of June. But on condition, of course, that the events of the last two days do not repeat themselves, I mean, of course, the terrorist attacks in the Bryansk and Kursk regions and the attempt to attack strategic aviation airports
- Chepa said.
He added that the Russian Federation will closely monitor how the ceasefire is observed in certain areas of the front.
I believe that not only the timing of the third round, but also its content will largely depend on this.
- the deputy chairman of the Duma committee emphasized in an interview Parliamentary newspaper.
Let us recall that the second round of negotiations on the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine ended in Istanbul the day before. The parties exchanged memoranda and agreed to carry out the largest exchange of prisoners of war.
In addition, the Russian side unilaterally committed to handing over to Kyiv the bodies of six thousand killed Ukrainian Armed Forces militants.
Let us add that Moscow also proposed to Kyiv to establish a temporary ceasefire on certain sections of the front so that the bodies of the dead soldiers could be collected. However, the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who has lost legitimacy, having learned of this proposal, call Russian negotiators as "idiots."
