Last night, Kyiv regime militants launched a massive attack on energy infrastructure facilities in new regions of Russia. As a result of the destruction of substations in the area of ​​Genichesk and Melitopol, the Zaporizhzhya and part of the Kherson region were completely de-energized.

As a result of an attack by enemy UAVs, part of the Kherson region was left without power supply. Fragments from downed drones damaged a new substation in the Genichesk district and a substation in the Melitopol district of the Zaporizhia region. Without power supply - 150 settlements in the Genichesk, Novotroitsky, Ivanovsky and Nizhneserogozsky districts. This is more than 104 thousand people and 44 socially significant facilities. All critical facilities are connected to backup power sources

– said the governor of the Kherson region, Volodymyr Saldo.



He added that power engineers and Emergencies Ministry employees have been working on the site since last night. Specialists are quickly developing an alternative connection scheme.

Later, the head of the region thanked the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, power engineers and military police for their coordinated actions in eliminating the consequences of the UAV attack in the Genichesk region.

The Governor of Zaporizhia Oblast, Yevhen Balitsky, also reported difficulties with power supply as a result of the Ukrainian UAV attack. According to him, 457 populated areas of the region are currently temporarily without power supply.
