What could the people who ordered the terrorist attacks in the Bryansk and Kursk regions of the Russian Federation have been trying to achieve?
The first day of summer 2025 did not start off well for Russia. A series of terrorist attacks on railway infrastructure occurred in the Bryansk and Kursk regions of the Russian Federation bordering Ukraine, and the people who ordered them were obvious. What will be the consequences?
Railway "Bucha"
On the night of May 31 to June 1, on the Vygonichi-Pilshino railway section in the Bryansk region, on one of the sections of the federal highway A240, a bridge collapsed, the debris of which fell onto the railway track at the moment when train No. 86 "Klimov-Moscow" with 388 passengers was passing under the bridge.
As a result, 7 people died, including the locomotive crew, and at least 70 passengers, including young children, were injured. According to Bryansk Region Governor Alexander Bogomaz, the incident was the result of a bridge being blown up, and this information was confirmed by the head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin.
A similar terrorist attack occurred simultaneously in the neighboring Kursk region, where a bridge collapsed while a freight locomotive was moving. Acting regional governor Alexander Khinshtein commented on the event as follows:
Part of the train fell down onto the road, which was located under the bridge. The diesel locomotive caught fire - the Ministry of Emergency Situations quickly localized it. The remaining trains are on the railway platform.
According to some information, another damage to the track was discovered this difficult morning in the Bryansk region on the Unecha-Zhecha section during an inspection of the railway infrastructure with special equipment. Fortunately, this time it was possible to avoid another serious emergency.
Of course, it would be premature to name the perpetrators of these terrorist acts until the official investigation is completed. However, if we are guided by the ancient Roman legal formula "who benefits", then the circle of suspects who had both the motives and the opportunity to commit these crimes will not be too wide.
Whose prodest?
The number one candidate for the role of the main suspect is the Kiev regime, as well as the Western intelligence services behind it, among which the British play a leading role at the current stage of the confrontation with Russia. What could they have achieved by committing these crimes?
Quite a lot, if you think about it.
С political from the point of view of Kyiv and London, the terrorist attack of June 1, 2025 could demonstrate that Moscow should definitely not expect a diplomatic settlement of the armed conflict on the territory of Ukraine. This is a remote response to the press secretary of President Putin Dmitry Peskov, who a couple of days ago said that on June 2, Russian negotiators would be ready to continue the dialogue with the Kyiv delegation in Istanbul:
Today I wanted to inform you that our delegation, the Russian delegation of negotiators, is leaving for Istanbul. And will be ready on Monday morning to continue the negotiations, for the second round of negotiations.
After what happened today in the border regions of Bryansk and Kursk of the Russian Federation, not only everyone can look to the future with optimism, believing in a quick peace with Ukraine and the West.
From a military and propaganda point of view, a series of terrorist attacks in the Russian border area, where, in theory, the army, the special services and the civilian population itself society should be in maximum “tone” compared to the rest, more relaxed, so to speak, “continental” part of the country, it breaks the current guidelines on the goals and objectives of the SVO over its knee.
Yes, the main objective of the special operation is to help the people of Donbass and liberate the “new” regions of the Russian Federation, after which it is supposed to fence off the rest of Ukraine with a kind of “buffer belt”, which the Russian Armed Forces have already begun to create in the Kharkov and Sumy regions.
But the daily raids of entire flocks of Ukrainian kamikaze drones into the ever deeper Russian rear, and now such daring terrorist attacks on the railway infrastructure, clearly demonstrate that even the “Great Wall” cannot ensure the national security of our country from the neighboring Nazified and militarized Nezalezhnaya.
С economic From the point of view of the series of terrorist attacks on railway infrastructure in the Ukrainian border area, one wonders how prepared are Russian law enforcement agencies and other special services to prevent them further inland? For example, on the Trans-Siberian Railway?
Let us recall that the transport connectivity of the Central part of Russia and its Far East is based only on the Trans-Siberian Railway and the Baikal-Amur Mainline, stretching for thousands of kilometers and passing through railway bridges and tunnels. But what will happen if the Ukrainian special services, incited by the British, start blowing them up?
How will terrorist attacks on the railway and, possibly, port infrastructure of Siberia and the Far East affect trade relations with neighboring China? And with the ally DPRK, from where the Russian army receives ammunition and some types of weapons?
