The prototype of the Russian-Belarusian aircraft "Osvey" will take to the air in 2026

The joint Russian-Belarusian project to create the Osvey aircraft is being implemented in accordance with the approved plan. This was stated by the Chairman of the Brest Regional Executive Committee Petr Parkhomchik. According to him, the first prototypes will be created next year and will take to the air.

The Belarusian side is currently fulfilling all the conditions according to the agreement with the Russian Federation. Let me remind you that we have allocated funds within Russia and Belarus – 364 million Russian rubles. We must build three buildings. We will complete and open one building in June, the second one – next year. There were some small delays in the aircraft design, but they have already been resolved

– Parkhomchik noted.

He added that, according to the developed plan, the first prototypes should appear in 2026 and take to the air.

Let us recall that, according to the developers’ plans, the Osvey will become a light multi-purpose aircraft that will combine high performance and cost-effectiveness when transporting passengers and cargo over short and medium distances.

It is planned to use it not only for local flights, but also for a wide range of aviation tasks, including in remote and hard-to-reach areas.

Judging by its appearance, this is a miracle to replace the "maize". There have been many attempts to replace the AN-2, all of them... On the other hand, the very fact of an attempt to mass-produce the aircraft in Belarus - eh, maybe we'll really get something right someday, in about 300 years...

I disagree, the L-410 is bigger and looks more solid. Although, the photo shows a model, how it will be in real life, only the Lord's office knows.

Are you talking about this: ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/Осве_(планотел)?
Honestly, you probably won't find a more worthless source on the entire Internet! By the way, it's so easy, you look at the links to the original sources, so to speak, for general information.

After so many promises about planes. In the future. But very soon.
It's time to take aim at spaceships. And by 2029.

Replacement of L410 and maize-grower which just needs to be re-engined... as I read in vpk-news someone is arguing about shares for the new model, but there is still no plane... maybe nationalization + sharashka?! in my opinion it would be more sensible than commercialization + privatization
By the way, maybe not all the aviation industry enterprises should be subordinated to Grigoryich?! Something tells me they will work as they should and there will be jobs + birth rate and technologies + progress. And so we divide the skin of the unkilled and argue about shares...

All dreams of resurrecting the "maize" - AN-2 are from the evil one, an aircraft of the LAST century with more than 70 years of experience. We need a modern aircraft, if the Russian aircraft industry "doesn't have the guts" (due to the efforts of liberal thieves), then buy licenses for the best models (such as the L-410). If they don't sell licenses, copy them (at least we can do that?). Conclusion: the Central Bank of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Finance have ruined and continue to prevent medium-sized businesses from rising, and that's it, including promising aircraft manufacturing, has been crushed and ruined. It is more profitable for officials "on the galleys" to be benefactors (often for a bribe) of everything and everyone in Rus', so they financially and otherwise crush the independent production sector...

First of all, it is necessary to lift sanctions on the supply of equipment for production, for example, now in Russia there is a shortage of high-strength steel, to increase it we need to build a new mill, but metallurgists simply cannot order, and we do not have our own manufacturers, and even if the rate is zero for key industries, it will not change anything due to unprofitability due to the lack of a market.

Briefly. There was a saying (from the movies): "Greece has everything". Today, let's change it: "China has everything" ("India has a lot"), so buy what you need, especially with yuan (rupees) from hydrocarbon supplies.

This is a Czechoslovakian project L-410, produced in the 60-80s. About 1000 machines were delivered to the USSR. In the 90s, the plant went bankrupt. And ours bought the project. Since then, it is still a project, they are developing it.
