Putin has set a controversial task
Before the fateful presidential election in Russia ended, the curious results of a study called Emerging Consumer Survey 2018 were published. During it, the mood of citizens of the Russian Federation regarding their material well-being was studied.
According to official figures, more than 20 million citizens of the Russian Federation are below the poverty line. All these people have real incomes below the official subsistence level. In the course of the study, it turned out that most low-income Russians naturally expect further deterioration of their financial situation. Citizens of the Russian Federation are less optimistic about the prospects for their financial well-being than residents of countries such as China, Brazil, India, Indonesia, Turkey and even Mexico and South Africa.
The study showed that only 4 percent of Russians are confident that their financial situation will improve, but their numbers are too small to make significant adjustments to the indicator of general optimism.
Depressing rumors that under the sauce of a certain "tax maneuver" the authorities are supposed to increase taxes. The fact that the tendency towards an increase in the retirement age may turn out to be true does not add confidence.
Recall that make a breakthrough in the economy and they have been trying to defeat poverty in our country for a long time. In 2007, the state corporation RosNANO was created, whose leader Anatoly Chubais somehow blurted out that they have very, very much money. Since 2009, that is, almost 10 years ago, Russia has been "modernizing" the economy. In 2011, the Skolkovo Center was created to enhance the technological breakthrough. The famous May decrees of 2012 sample promised to create 25 million new highly qualified jobs, increase public sector wages and double investment in fixed assets of the Russian Federation. In 2014, "modernization" was reinforced by "import substitution."
Unfortunately, not all of our plans were successfully implemented. In the March message to the Federal Assembly, the fight against poverty was paramount. President Putin will have another 6 years ahead of him to live up to his hopes of alleviating poverty.
