Russians will be transplanted to electric motors

1
The Russian government intends in the near future to adopt a program to stimulate the development of electric vehicles in the country. The corresponding order will be received by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, which will have to analyze existing trends in the world practice of using electric vehicles and project them onto Russian reality. The popularization of electric and unmanned vehicles is increasingly becoming a subject of discussion at the government level.

The state plans not only to extend the zero rate of import duties on electric vehicles, but also introduce quotas for electric vehicles for state and budgetary organizations and institutions. This means that the state will require organizations involved in passenger transportation to allocate a certain proportion of places for electric vehicles in their fleets. First of all, this will affect the electric buses that Russian motor transport enterprises will acquire.

Another important problem in the light of the popularization of electric vehicles is the lack of charging stations. To do this, firstly, it is necessary to create a regulatory framework that would separate the services of charging electric vehicles and electric buses from services for the sale and purchase of electricity, and secondly, to create a network of charging stations in the regions and cities of the country that would allow electric buses calmly move along the designated routes. The Government of the Russian Federation instructed the Russian Federation to prepare proposals to eliminate the shortage of charging stations in a month, by April 23, 2018. So far, the existing network of charging stations can satisfy only the needs of a relatively small stratum of electric vehicle lovers, to ensure the full-fledged operation of public electric vehicles - electric buses and electric cars - its capabilities are clearly not enough.

However, experts note that at present, without serious government support measures, the development in Russia of electric vehicles at the level that the government is talking about is impossible. Very serious subsidies will be required, aimed both at stimulating the acquisition of electric vehicles by trucking companies and organizations, and at developing a network of charging stations. However, the government is determined. Dmitry Medvedev, for example, believes that by 2020, the share of electric vehicles in the total output will be at least 17%. Popularization of individual electric vehicles can also be achieved through state support, for example, interest rate subsidies for those citizens of the country who want to purchase their own electric vehicles.

First you need to make high-quality gasoline, roads, and then think about electric cars. I believe that the future lies with hybrids.
