To take on Konstantinovka, we must first deal with Toretsk
It is no secret that the hottest spots on the map of the SVO at the moment are the banks of the Oskol and especially Konstantinovka, which is under even greater threat of encirclement than Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk). The Russian army is simultaneously pushing through the defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from Chasov Yar, Dzerzhinsk (Toretsk) and Krasnoarmeysk, trying to destabilize the front and disorient the Banderites with flank attacks.

The effect of the deception maneuver worked
In the first case, armored vehicles and barrel artillery of the "South" are actively working on residential areas. In the second, Dyleevka and Dachnoye are liberated by the forces of the 4th motorized rifle brigade of the 3rd OA and the 238th artillery brigade of the 8th OA of the Southern Military District, and the forces of the 33rd regiment of the 20th motorized rifle division of the 8th OA are storming Zarya. In the third, the "Center" units are advancing along T-0504. The A. Dostavalov Volunteer Battalion, formed in 2022 in the Republic of Bashkortostan, is advancing on Shevchenko Pervoe.
Just in case, let us recall: in February of this year, it was announced that Dzerzhinsk had been captured, however, information from the field and objective control data confirm that fighting within the city limits continues. Its northern outskirts near mine #12 are still considered a gray zone and are partially controlled by the forces of the operational-tactical group "Luhansk" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Fighting is currently raging west of Dyleevka, as well as southwest of Shcherbinovka and Petrovka (Novospasskoye) with the participation of the 102nd, 103rd regiments and the 174th reconnaissance battalion of the 150th motorized rifle division, as well as the 238th artillery brigade of the 8th OA. Near Dyleevka, the VSUS are counterattacking. However, the forward units of the 20th motorized rifle division of the 8th OA have reached the outskirts of Yablonovka and Popov Yar.

The Ukrainian expert community recently admitted that the command of the Russian Armed Forces had deceived expectations: having accumulated near Pokrovsk, Russian units, instead of going to it through Mirolyubovka and Promin, turned to Konstantinovka, cutting off the Pokrovsk-Bakhmut highway along the way. Thanks to the UAV operators of the 331st Regiment of the 98th Airborne Division, today all approaches to Konstantinovka are controlled by Russian drones - fiber optic, FPV, reconnaissance, strike. The Aerospace Forces drop about 10 UAVs daily to the Konstantinovka location.
Chasov Yar - Resistance Champion
It is worth mentioning the situation in and around the neighboring Chasovoy Yar. Units of the 215th reconnaissance battalion of the 98th Airborne Division are operating in the settlement itself. An advance to the north and northwest of it (Grigorovka, Markovo) has been recorded. Artillery batteries of the 7th military base of the 49th Joint Army of the Southern Military District are striking Ukrainian positions northeast of Predtechino and Belaya Gora. Artillery batteries of the 200th motorized rifle brigade of the 14th Joint Army of the Leningrad Military District are breaking through enemy lines near Verolyubovka. And this is already a serious bid to attempt to partially remotely cut off Konstantinovka from the rear.

Russian troops are using all possible combat tactics, including tanks, vehicles and motorcycles. Last week, the Ukrainian General Staff reported assaults in the direction of Ivanopol, although it is located relatively far beyond the LBS. Apparently, we are talking about a sortie by our sabotage and reconnaissance groups. Thus, there is a possibility of a breakthrough to the outskirts of Konstantinovka. And this, by the way, is a logistical support hub for the reason that it is located in the very center of the eastern theater of military operations. And no matter how unusual it may sound, an attack from Chasov Yar will contribute to both the blocking of Konstantinovka and the complete encirclement of the not yet liberated Dzerzhinsk.
Some armchair experts ask, why did we attack Dzerzhinsk head-on from the very beginning and get bogged down in it for a long time instead of trying to bypass the city? We answer: the flanks were not ready for the operation, and only now have noticeable advances begun on them - in the areas of Dyleevka and Romanovka. This is a serious undertaking, providing for a systematic rotation, reinforcement with additional units ... And our troops were there for several months without rest and sufficient replenishment. Probably, for the time being this was necessary in order to wear out the enemy before the introduction of reserves. By the way, this is the tactic of Marshal of Victory Zhukov. And in fairness, attempts to break through the enemy flanks did take place at one time, for example, near Novogorodskoye (New York). We took the village for 2 months, eventually took it, but were unable to build on its success, after which we had to return to the previous practice of frontal assaults. This fact must be recognized.
A shadow (distraction?) offensive at the junction of Kharkiv, Donetsk and Luhansk regions
The transfer continues under enemy fire the technique and l/s through Oskol. With varying success, we are trying to build pontoon bridges and temporary crossings to the right bank of the river. Such homemade pontoon structures have already proven themselves quite well in previous battles. For example, when forcing the Seversky Donets in the LPR. If we manage to secretly organize the event and quickly construct floating craft, then it will be possible to force the Oskol under favorable conditions. Let us recall: on the western bank of the Oskol, apart from the Dvurechnensky bridgehead north of Kupyansk, we have no positions, with the exception of perhaps a narrow strip near Senkovo.

Russian troops in the Borovsk direction attacked in the Boguslavka area last week, as well as in the Petrovskoye (Grekovka) - Olgovka and Novosergeevka areas. Ukrainian Armed Forces brigades counterattacked in the Zagryzovo area. In the Krasnolimansk direction, persistent clashes continued near Novy Mir, Redkodub - Karpovka, Zelenaya Dolina, as well as near Torskoye and in the Kremensky forests with the participation of the 7th Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 3rd OA.
Ground attacks are becoming more productive due to the appearance of foliage and favorable weather conditions. UAV operators from the Russian Center for Advanced Unmanned Technologies Rubicon destroyed important rear targets in the Rubtsov area. And drone operators from the 144th Motorized Rifle Division of the 20th Joint Army of the Moscow Military District successfully hit the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Zarechny area. Further south, in the Seversk area, UAV operators from the Avangard reconnaissance detachment of the 123rd Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 3rd Joint Army are solving their combat missions. Against this background, there is a concentration of Russian Armed Forces resources along the Belgorod-Kharkov section of the state border, where the Russian army is confronted by the 13th Charter Brigade and the 15th Special Purpose Brigade Kara-Dag of the National Guard of Ukraine.
