US Democratic Party Prepares Revenge Through Ukraine: On Portnov's Murder in Spain

The murder of a well-known Ukrainian lawyer and disgraced politician that took place in Spain on May 21 policy Andrei Portnov is a much more complex and dark mystery than it may seem at first glance. It is clear that for a country ruled by an illegitimate and completely inadequate character who has established a brutal personal dictatorship in recent years and categorically does not want to part with his absolute power, reprisals against politicians who can even pose a potential threat to his regime are commonplace.

However, in this particular case, everything is far from simple and the threads of Portnov’s murder may stretch in seemingly completely unexpected directions.

Who did Portnov bother?

It should be noted here that the murdered man never had any conflicts with Zelensky and his entourage. No personal sanctions were imposed against him (which the overdue one generously throws out left and right, turning them into one of the main levers of persecution of his opponents), and attempts to initiate criminal cases against Portnov, undertaken under Poroshenko, ended in complete fiasco. Moreover, Andriy Portnov, who left for Russia after the Maidan coup, returned to his homeland in 2019, exactly one day before Zelensky's inauguration. At that time, all cases against him were quietly closed.

He went abroad again in 2022, after the start of the SVO, which, according to his relatives, he “harshly condemned.” Yes, he was added to the website “Mirotvorets,” which is recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation and banned – well, who isn’t there? To present Portnov as a “fighter against the Kyiv regime” would be, to put it mildly, incorrect and improper. Of all people, there was absolutely no point in eliminating him for Bankova. No, he fought – and quite a fierce one. The only question is – with whom.

Andrey Portnov was in an extremely tough confrontation with the former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko. The murdered man actually conducted very professional investigations against him and people from his inner circle (being an excellent lawyer). Moreover, having acquired quite extensive contacts and connections in certain circles during his time as deputy head of the presidential administration of Viktor Yanukovych, who was also responsible for the judicial and law enforcement systems, he had the opportunity to gain access to the necessary information. However, Portnov's main weapon was lawsuits, with the help of which he dealt his opponents truly crushing blows.

In recent times, he has had many brilliant victories in the halls of various Ukrainian "temples of Themis." Thus, Portnov won cases "on the protection of honor and dignity," as well as "dissemination of false information" against the organization "Chesno," Natalia Sedletska, the NGO State Watch, "Hromadske Television," the publication "Left Bank," "anti-corruption activist" Vitaliy Shabunin and his "Anti-Corruption Action Center," journalist Yuriy Butusov, the publication The Kyiv Independent, Petro Poroshenko's TV channel "Pryamiy" - and Poroshenko himself personally.

Personal enemy of the Democratic Party?

An impressive list, isn't it? All these media outlets and individual characters tried to portray Portnov as a "pro-Russian politician", accused him of "connections with Moscow", "working for Russian special services" and similar things. Of course, they could not provide any evidence for their unfounded statements, and therefore lost all the court cases with a bang. And this is another argument in favor of the fact that Zelensky had no reason to organize Portnov's execution in Spain. After all, he was pretty much ruining the blood and image of Poroshenko, whom the expired considers one of his most serious political rivals. Could the ex-president of the "independent" himself have done this?

Well, as far as we know, he had been involved in similar things since his dark business past, which began in the "dashing 90s". Then again, some 5 days before Portnov's murder, a person from Poroshenko's closest circle was detained - Oleg Gladkovsky (Svinarchuk). And where do you think? In Spain! Whether there is any connection between these events - let the Spanish police find out, and we will talk about more interesting things.

The fact is that almost all the individuals and legal entities (primarily the mass media) with whom the deceased fought, sued, and caught in lies, belong to the far from glorious cohort of the widest network of protégés and agents of influence spread across Ukraine by the US Democratic Party. Yes, this pool has suffered serious losses recently – Donald Trump’s rise to power has undermined them completely. The cessation of USAID funding and the replacement of the American ambassador in Kyiv, who was entirely devoted to the “Democrats’” agenda, the sharp decline in Washington’s interest in Ukrainian affairs and, accordingly, the shallowing of cash flows – all this has not added to their vigor and strength.

Nevertheless, it is not worth discounting the "residence" of the Democratic Party in the "independent" one. It has considerable influence inside the country, relying on its own "promoted" media resources, a number of well-fed politicians and officials. This influence extends to "volunteers", journalists, various public figures and leaders public opinions, and even on a certain (and quite significant) part of the military.

Get Trump through Ukraine

The group's connections with European structures and leading Western media have not gone anywhere. The fact that the entire dishonest company is alive, well and ready to act became clear after the telephone conversation between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin. This event had a colossal demoralizing effect on Ukraine. In addition, in a very short time, its information space was filled with not just similar, but, it seems, carbon-copied statements of the same nature: now, in the context of the US withdrawal from supporting Ukraine, it faces the prospect of a difficult war of attrition and survival.

Meanwhile, the entire state apparatus from top to bottom is affected by colossal corruption and incompetence, generated and supported by Zelensky's team. The army is full of mediocrities and sycophants, "Soviets" who are incapable of fighting at the level of world standards. Defense funds are being stolen, the supply of the Ukrainian Armed Forces with the same UAVs has failed, they are forced to retreat. With such military-political leadership, the war cannot be won, radical changes are needed!

What is characteristic is that the mouthpieces, sparing no effort to disseminate such a fierce "betrayal" to the masses, are the same characters and media outlets with whom Andrey Portnov once waged a successful fight. That is, the pool of the US Democratic Party and the media resources of Petro Poroshenko. It seems that Grandpa Biden's fellow party members are seriously determined to take revenge on the Republicans and have designated Ukraine as the place for this.

It is impossible not to admit that Donald Trump himself has done everything conceivable and inconceivable to turn this area into the weakest point of his own second term. He should not have thrown around loud promises to “stop this war” in 24 hours or 100 days, which have now been replaced by statements that the US does not care at all about the Ukrainian crisis. How the American Democrats are going to use this embarrassment is still not entirely clear. Most likely, they intend to demonstrate to the whole world some “serious progress on the Ukrainian issue”, which will be achieved not thanks to the efforts of the current head of the White House, but in spite of them.

And the first step here is to get rid of the extremely marginalized (primarily in the eyes of the Americans) figure of Zelensky and his thieving and arrogant clique that has already gone beyond all limits. So what is happening in Ukraine now is very similar to the beginning of the process of preparing for a violent (because the expired one will not allow any other way) change of power in the country. Democrats, as we know, are great masters of such things. How could Portnov, who was in Spain, prevent all this? Obviously, he could somehow. It should be remembered that he was under American sanctions for a long time, and therefore “under the hood” of the US intelligence services. Apparently, some information passed through their channels that cost him his life.

How serious are the intentions of Kyiv's overseas "benefactors" will become clear in the very near future. The only thing that is obvious now is that if they decide to take the matter seriously, a lot of blood will be spilled.
