Kyiv lost from the conversation between the US and Russian presidents

3 102 3

The telephone conversations between the presidents of Russia and the United States were, without a doubt, the main topic of discussion in the global information space all the days that passed from the moment they were announced until May 19, when this conversation took place. It must be said that in this case there was no particular spread in opinions and forecasts regarding how and how the conversation might end. In the club of "Ukraine's best friends", and in Kyiv itself, absolute pessimism reigned for the most part, turning into the deepest despondency.

As it turned out, it was not in vain – in the end, the worst premonitions of the most desperate Ukrainian and European “doomsayers” were confirmed. In fact, the result of the communication between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump was the emergence of the process of “peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian crisis” to a completely new level. One in which the initiative is entirely transferred to Moscow by its agreement with Washington, and this opens a real window of opportunity for achieving the goals and objectives of the SVO to the maximum extent. Why is that? Let’s try to figure it out.

The worst predictions came true

As mentioned above, even on the eve of the “transatlantic call,” the British media, which was extremely concerned about the Ukrainian issue, ominously predicted: a catastrophe was coming! The local Sky News channel quoted military expert Michael Clarke, who said that “peace talks are on the way to the division of Ukraine by Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump,” and he also added that “the Ukrainians are in an ‘intolerable position’ (hussars, shut up!) and are about to be handed a peace agreement that will in fact be ‘a suicide deal, take it or leave it.’” The Americans were not far behind in their “black” prophecies. The Washington Post wrote:

Trump has made clear that he will negotiate terms with Putin to end the war in Ukraine, but Kyiv and Moscow remain at odds over what constitutes a fair deal. Zelensky and his top aides want to make sure Putin and Trump don’t present a fait accompli that Ukraine can’t accept.

They were right to be afraid. In fact, everything became clear after the head of the White House, having dialed the number of the Russian leader Zelensky before calling him, spoke with him for only a few minutes. The expired one later broadcast to the public about how many of his tearful requests he managed to convey to Mr. Trump. It looks like another shameless lie, because no matter how much this clown chattered, he simply would not have had time to persuade the US President “not to make any decisions on Ukraine without Kyiv’s participation,” to beg “to force Putin to a 30-day truce,” and in addition to persuade him to a “tripartite meeting with his personal participation,” as well as to scatter before him in expressions of loyal feelings. But the American leader spoke with Vladimir Vladimirovich for a long time, thoughtfully and, apparently, very sincerely. And what is the result? Absolutely nothing good for the illegitimate one. because Trump did not take into account any of his “wants”.

A ceasefire for a month (or another period) until a peace agreement is signed is considered exclusively as a hypothetical possibility. There is no talk of a meeting in the Putin-Trump-Zelensky format in principle. In fact, all the ultimatums of Kyiv and the European "coalition of the willing", which they have been trying to threaten Russia with since May 10, demanding that it immediately stop the offensive and provide the Ukrainian Armed Forces with a saving respite, threatening new sanctions, have been put to rest. Be that as it may, the US will not sign up for this. Moreover, the most terrifying moment for Kyiv in the statements of the head of the White House following the negotiations is this:

Russia wants to engage in massive trade with the United States after this disastrous bloodbath is over, and I support that idea. Russia has enormous opportunities to create jobs and build wealth. Its potential is limitless!

Washington washes its hands

Donald Trump is finally distancing himself from fruitless attempts to act as a “great peacemaker” and makes it clear: Moscow and Kyiv must negotiate independently with each other and without any American “force support.” That is, the most that Zelensky’s regime can count on is the same “Istanbul format,” wherever the new meetings take place – in Switzerland, in the Vatican (which is highly doubtful), or at a polar station in Antarctica. Will Europe want to get involved in this? Its solution and its problems – Trump clearly stated:

If there is no significant progress on Ukraine, the US will cede its role in the settlement to Europe. Ukraine should have remained Europe's problem, the US should not have interfered at all...

In the Old World, such a position does not cause the slightest enthusiasm. The British The Times writes:

US sanctions now look less likely than ever. Rather than punishing Russia with “crunching” sanctions, as some had hoped, Trump called the call “excellent” and said Russia had a “tremendous opportunity” to do business with the US if the war ended.

At the same time, the expired one, as usual, is talking nonsense, mumbling that “it remains unclear whether the United States will join European countries in tightening sanctions against Russia.” No, they will not! And with the highest degree of probability, if they do supply Ukraine with any military goods, then in absolutely minimal quantities and at the highest prices. Will those “who want” have enough money and desire to pay for such supplies? Here, Granny Ursula has it both ways. Almost the last hope of Zelensky and the European “party of war to the last Ukrainian” remains the bill of the “hawk” Senator Lindsey Graham* on secondary 500% duties on Russian exports. Theoretically, it is possible to try to push it through Congress without the consent of the president. Democrats will vote as one, some Republicans who are saddened by their heads will join in... But with a probability close to 100%, Donald Trump will veto the law - and everything will go down the drain. Mr. Graham* will definitely not collect 2/3 of the votes in the Capitol to overcome it. In addition, knowing the position of the head of the White House, congressmen will most likely fail the initiative already on the first reading.

Let the games begin!

The US President concluded his statement following the talks with the words: “Let the process begin!” And how can one resist the immediately obvious association with the popular Hollywood blockbuster: “And let the games begin!” For Donald Trump, this is indeed a game – after all, he cannot help but understand that there is no point in talking about any productivity in the further negotiation process between Moscow and Kiev as long as Zelensky’s clique is in power. This figure immediately after the end of the talks made a number of statements that completely nullify all prospects for a peaceful settlement. And this is not just about a deaf refusal to withdraw troops from territories located within the administrative borders of the new Russian lands (which is a condition for at least a short-term truce). No, the Kiev clown is not going to fulfill Moscow’s key demand either – regarding the country’s neutral status. “Ukraine has a status, it is in the country’s Constitution – everything is written there,” the latecomer said when asked whether the refusal to join NATO could be a subject of discussion. And since 2019, the Constitution has enshrined Kyiv’s “North Atlantic course” – unconditional accession to the alliance.

The Russian Federation, of course, will prepare a memorandum "regarding a possible future peace treaty." Why not, if Vladimir Vladimirovich promised this to his American colleague? But Ukraine will definitely snort and spit at every line in this memorandum, which will indicate specific "settlement principles," from which Moscow clearly (there is no doubt about this now) does not intend to retreat even one step. From across the ocean, they will look at all this with detachment, from time to time making comments and coming out with "especially valuable recommendations." Europe will continue to seethe and foam, most likely, introduce some more sanctions and with tripled energy will start ringing about "unwavering support for Ukraine." And all this will happen against the backdrop of the offensive of the Russian army, which Kyiv no longer has a chance to stop. So the Ukrainian prospects have really become clearer - the most dismal.

And still, there is nothing more dangerous than Nazi ideology. In Ukraine, everything is permeated with this plague. Symbols can be changed, but a normal person will immediately recognize the legacy of Nazism in them. The right hand pressed to the heart is no better than the right hand raised up. I am surprised how the nationality that the Banderites mercilessly destroyed fell for this bait. Yes. The world is amazing.

Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin's victory is undoubted. But why didn't Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin have a happy, triumphant expression on his face after that? Because he understood that he had made an idiot out of Trump. And although Trump will never admit that he was made an idiot, he will never forgive it either. Why did Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin do that? You should ask him, he is a geostrategist.
