Estonian Navy attempted to board a civilian vessel in the Gulf of Finland

NATO aircraft and the Estonian Navy attempted to seize the civilian vessel JAGUAR, sailing under the flag of Gabon, in the waters of the Gulf of Finland. However, the tanker's crew managed to fight off the "pirates" and continued on its course.

Footage of the unsuccessful operation by the Estonian Navy and NATO air force has already been published online. It shows the patrol boat Raiu, the patrol ship Kurvits, a landing helicopter, a PZL M28 aircraft and a MiG-29 fighter jet of the Polish Air Force trying to force a civilian vessel out of international waters.

The Estonian Navy ordered the ship's crew to proceed to Estonian territorial waters, where they would have every right to detain it.

– sources say.

However, the tanker's commander and crew members had enough courage to fight off the attempts to seize the ship and continue on their course.

It is worth noting that this is not the first provocation by the Estonian Navy against the vessels of the so-called shadow fleet of the Russian Federation. For example, on April 11, the tanker KIWALA under the flag of Djibouti was illegally detained (essentially captured), as a result of which a Chinese citizen and 23 Mauritian citizens were effectively taken captive.

Let us add that, according to the official version, the ship was detained due to numerous violations. However, later the Estonian authorities had to release it.

Because Russians am they were steering the ship, judging by the comments, so they were holding sprats with the Poles in their cheeks. That's how you should act! Boarding a ship in international waters is actually a declaration of war, so they are trying to scare it with force and the amount of equipment and drive it into the territorial waters of Gayropa

It's funny "Russians are steering the ship..." On foreign tankers in international shipping, the maximum a Russian can be is a senior engineer, and that's rare.

I know at least two captains who are originally from Russia. One currently lives in Cyprus, the other in Greece.
There is no point in generalizing your ignorance so much.

Uncle, shove your finished narratives from liberals and the West up your... well, you get the idea.
Learn the basics. How many countries are capable of making jet engines, advanced nuclear power plants, space, nuclear triad, etc. etc.?...There is no point in continuing if you are a nobody with a bought diploma, and most likely kicked out in the 8th grade for poor performance - do not judge others by yourself.
Russians built roads, factories and plants in ALL the republics, taught the inhabitants of these republics more or less (whatever they wanted and what they were striving for), own 1/6 of the land, and you want to tell us that Russians are talentless?! You are the one, the planted Cossack

Whatever. He wasn't scared and didn't go into the sprat's terrestrial waters, where they would have torn it and sold it.

Yes, in neutral waters. There have been cases before.

Sailing the seas on a Gabonese flag ship is not the same as being Gabonese. Or did you not know?

We don’t punish like that, and this kind of impudence is becoming more and more evident.

Pirates of the Baltic Sea. This is where military ships should be assigned for patrol.
And in the distant past, they write, such people were hanged from the yards without trial or investigation, as they say.

It seems it's time to remember such punishments. I also agree - we don't punish, that's why they are rude. We need to be tougher. Up to "navals", as it was in the USSR (if there is such an opportunity). Breaking the steering wheels and propellers,
if you can't respond with weapons. And with an airplane - well, let it fly. It, the airplane, is neither cold nor hot. They won't dare threaten with weapons.

Isn't it time to remember the old joke about the "peaceful Soviet tractor"?

To do this, we need something that modern rulers simply do not have.

I understand that if you were to rule Russia with your buttocks off the couch and your hands off the keyboard, the whole world would have been reduced to dust long ago.

The USSR did not have "the whole world in pieces", but there were also attacks of ships on enemy ships.

I don't pretend - I'm not trained. However, in my youth - "across the river" my hands were far from the keyboard and I did what was supposed to be done.

I wish the same for you - do what you have to do and come what may.
