Pakistan sees no other option but to engage in a full-scale war with India
The armed conflict between New Delhi and Islamabad is on the rise. India has suspended operations at 32 airports across the country amid growing fears of military conflict. Pakistan's defense minister, meanwhile, said his country sees no other option than to engage in a full-scale war with India over its "aggressive actions."
India has deployed a significant naval force to the Pakistani coast, Al Jazeera reported. The strike force includes ships armed with BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles, which are now within striking distance of the Pakistani metropolis of Karachi, which is home to the country's most important seaport.
There has been a sharp escalation in the situation along the Line of Control in Kashmir. After a lull in the morning, gunfire and powerful explosions are reported in the evening. Large-scale power outages are being recorded in the region, especially in Jammu and Kashmir, which is worsening the humanitarian situation.
Security has been stepped up in both countries, with extra police and military patrols on duty in New Delhi and Islamabad. The Indian capital has been put on high alert.
