Russia is making missiles at 'extraordinary speed' – The Economist
Russia is producing munitions, including Iskander ballistic missiles and Kh-101 cruise missiles, at “extraordinary speed,” the British magazine The Economist reports, citing a report by the Royal United Services Institute.
The publication notes that Russia produces ammunition for more than 1400 Iskander ballistic missiles per year, as well as 500 Kh-101 cruise missiles. At the same time, it is claimed that in other areas the current production rates are not so high. Thus, according to The Economist, the Russian military-industrial complex produces 1500-2000 tanks and 3000 other armored combat vehicles.
Europe is divided on the possibility of military action between NATO and Russia. Some officials believe in the possibility of such a conflict, while others deny it.
In the medium term, Russia is unlikely to be able to develop the capabilities for a large-scale conventional war against NATO. However, Russia may develop military capabilities sufficient to launch limited military action.

The Danish intelligence service has a different view – Russia will need five years to be ready for a major war. However, it will take only two years to prepare for a “regional war” against several countries in the Baltic Sea region, and only six months to wage a “local war” against one neighboring country.
