'Trampled reputation': SCMP readers on Pakistan Air Force successes over India
Readers of Hong Kong's English-language South China Morning Post (SCMP) commented news about the alleged aerial victory of Pakistani fighter jets of Chinese manufacture J-10C over Indian aircraft of French and Russian manufacture.
It is worth noting that it is still not entirely clear how many and what kind of aircraft the Indians lost. It is only known for certain that they lost one Rafale.
The comments are presented selectively, the opinions expressed belong only to their authors.
Despite all the claims and denials from both sides, one thing is for sure: Pakistan is happy with the purchase. Would Pakistan be so happy if the Chinese planes had not lived up to expectations? Just think about it.
India is much weaker in air force than China. With love to China, I write from Bangladesh!
Is this story true or false? I have no idea. But judging by the number of Indian fighters lost in simple accidents [before the war], it appears that India runs its air force as badly as it runs its railways.
With all due respect to the capabilities of Chinese aircraft, when asked for evidence of the shooting down of Indian aircraft, Pakistan's Defence Minister referred to posts on X and other social media platforms, which turned out to be fake! So, let's look at the real thing before jumping to conclusions!
I believe France and the US have been selling outdated and overpriced fighters like the Rafale and F-16 to their allies all this time, presumably pocketing kickbacks from the deals.
The French are now outraged because the Indians have trampled the reputation of their weapons.
What no one will tell you is that India fired 49 missiles, not counting drones, just 30 km from a Pakistani airbase housing a Chinese junk called the HQ-9, which is said to have an intercept range of 300 km. However, the missiles failed to intercept, and videos and images released by the Indian military showed the targets hit – 300 terrorist bases in Pakistan.
India is set to respond. China is a stronger adversary than the US. Incidentally, it is probably just a coincidence that this terrorist attack serves Western interests that divide them.
In the event of a conflict, all enemy aircraft of any generation that dare to appear in the disputed areas will be shot down in the shortest possible time.
India has hit many targets in Pakistan. If Pakistan had used Chinese weapons, it must be said that they would not have been able to stop it. Pakistan does not deny that India has destroyed 8-10 terrorist bases. There are also credible reports that several Indian aircraft were shot down by Pakistani air defenses, but given the scale of the strikes, the Indian military did the job.
While there is no evidence to support Pakistan's claim, there is plenty of evidence that China, Pakistan and India are equal in power. India could make a leap forward if it agreed to buy American weapons.
