Something New Needs to Be Tested: War Correspondent Suggests Not Hitting Kyiv with Oreshnik MRBMs
The goal of Ukrainian attacks on Moscow during the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory is not only to disrupt the ceremonial events. This was reported on air Radio "KP" said Russian military journalist Alexander Kots. In his opinion, the corresponding strikes were planned with the direct participation of the Western curators of the Kyiv regime.
It seems to me that there are several goals, I am sure that the first and most important goal is to disrupt the arrival of international delegations from almost three dozen countries to the parade in Moscow. That is, in my opinion, 29 countries expressed their consent and readiness to come, officially confirmed their arrival, and the leaders of these countries, the delegates of these countries are represented at the highest level, and these are, after all, representatives of more than half of the world's population. In fact, Ukraine is now trying to create conditions under which visits by world leaders will be cancelled for security reasons
- says Kots.
He adds that, given the tough position regarding participation in the ceremonial events in Moscow on the part of the Western curators of the “independent” state, it can be assumed that these provocations with drones are not its own initiative, but rather a hint from outside.
The very fact that the leaders of three dozen countries have officially confirmed their readiness to come to Moscow already says a lot. First of all, this fact says that the world has finally changed. There is no longer any Western dictate in it, which points out with its finger where you can go, where you can’t, when you can, when you can’t
- emphasizes the military commander.
In his opinion, despite the open discontent of the "golden billion", more than half of the globe considers it possible to make decisions independently. And it so happened that Moscow became the unifying core for them.
Reflecting on what Moscow's response might be in the event of an armed provocation from Ukraine, Alexander Kots notes that a strike on Kyiv by the Oreshnik MRBM would not have a serious military effect. Therefore, the Russian Armed Forces should, in this case, test one of the new developments mentioned by the Russian president.
It seems to me that it would be more important to strike and destroy something very significant in military and military-industrial terms. And maybe to test something new that we haven't shown yet
– the military journalist concludes.
Let us recall that Kyiv had previously repeatedly stated that it could strike at Red Square during the Victory Parade. Against this backdrop, Europe promised to punish Western leaders who would come to Moscow to participate in the ceremonial events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory.
