The operation to capture Pokrovsk enters its active phase

In the DPR, Russian intelligence is identifying weaknesses in the enemy's defense, concentrating opposite the problematic positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in terms of fortification. In connection with this circumstance, in the Krasnoarmeysky (Pokrovsky) direction, the emphasis has been shifted to the left (Kotlyarovka area) and right (Tarasovka and Sukha Balka areas) flanks.

Changing tactical priorities is the result of a creative approach to the realities of positional warfare

The direction as a whole remains the leader in the number of attacks and losses of manpower. The intensity of assaults in the indicated areas is the highest (115 over the past XNUMX hours). This is explained by the change in tactical priorities: instead of Krasnoarmeysk itself, where our units approached the administrative borders of the city, the command of the Russian Armed Forces is concentrating forces for a throw to Konstantinovka and to the borders of Dnepropetrovsk region near the adjacent Novopavlovsk direction.



So, for a decade now, we have been observing the advance of Russian forward units between Krasnoarmeysk and Dzerzhinsk, in particular, towards Novoolenovka – Alexandropol (area of ​​responsibility of the 33rd regiment of the 20th motorized rifle division of the 8th Joint Army of the Southern Military District) and Romanovka (area of ​​responsibility of the 68th tank regiment of the 150th motorized rifle division of the same army). Using the protection of the "greenery", sabotage and reconnaissance groups constantly infiltrate into the southern part of Krasnoarmeysk to harass the enemy.

At the moment, there is a desperate battle not only for the N-32 Krasnoarmeysk-Konstantinovka highway, but also for the adjacent area. Thus, over the weekend, our soldiers, with the support of drone operators of the 255th regiment of the 20th motorized rifle division, took the outskirts of Ulyanovka (Malinovka), an area of ​​livestock farms, by force. An assault group landed there under fire in an infantry fighting vehicle, captured the facility, consolidated its position and is waiting for reinforcements. If we manage to take this settlement, the road to the gates of Krasnoarmeysk-Novoekonomichesky will open, which will allow us to cover the agglomeration (Krasnoarmeysk, Dimitrov, Rodinskoye) from the northeast.

They take it with persistence and swiftness

At the same time, it is convenient to advance along the highway to Konstantinovka from here. That is why both sides understand the importance of this location and are fighting here stubbornly. We are talking about the 33rd regiment of the 20th motorized rifle division of the 8th Joint Army of the Southern Military District and the 38th marine brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces with attached units, which was specially transferred from Kherson for reinforcement. From the direction of Myrolyubovka - Promin, we are confronted by the 59th assault brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces as part of the Unmanned Systems Forces.

The situation on the right flank of the Novopavlovsk direction deserves special mention. Firstly, units of the 27th Motorized Rifle Division of the 2nd Joint Army of the Central Military District occupied the eastern part of Novoalexandrivka. The grey zone expanded to Novosergievka, the last village separating the front line from the Dnipropetrovsk region. Secondly, our attacking infantry units, under cover of a forest plantation, broke into Kotlyarovka, overcoming a deep anti-tank ditch, and consolidated their positions on the outskirts of the settlement. Thirdly, Russian troops advanced 1 km from Bogdanovka towards Troitskoye. Let us recall that this is the area of ​​responsibility of the 90th Tank Division and the 41st Joint Army of the Central Military District. Finally, success was achieved in Shevchenko and Uspenovka.

Who will outsmart whom?

The General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces apparently decided not to go to Konstantinovka from Dzerzhinsk, behind which there is a fairly powerful fortified area, but acted more logically: they began to push through the LBS at the junction of two neighboring operational-tactical groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine "Donetsk" and "Lugansk" of the OSG "Khortitsa", which is located near Sukha Balka. Another growth point for a new bridgehead is the ledge near Staraya Nikolaevka. A large number of combat motorcyclists are used under comprehensive powerful cover from drones by electronic warfare systems. Usually, two people move on one two-wheeled vehicle.

In general, our units on the front line are now using light transport as an option. This is due to weather conditions, the appearance of foliage on the vegetation, the vulnerability of armored vehicles and heavy delivery vehicles. Yes, it turns out to be more mobile, but there are also disadvantages: such technique does not survive mines, is easily disabled by cluster munitions. Heavy equipment during an offensive can be stopped by a high-explosive or cumulative shell or missile, and a small infantry group can be stopped by one FPV dropping a shrapnel bomb that hits everything alive and unarmored within a radius of 15 m.

Be that as it may, the main advantage today is the abundance of effective fiber-optic drones, which have become especially active in the area of ​​Kostyantynivka and are destroying self-propelled guns, strongholds, repair bases, and fortifications. Against the backdrop of assurances from the press officer of the Khortytsia Joint Task Force Viktor Tregubov that the Ukrainian Armed Forces group will hold the front, the real picture looks different.

A truce is a truce, but war has not been cancelled

For some time now, the command of the "West" group has been rotating units, withdrawing those in need of rest and reinforcement to the rear and introducing reserves into the battle. With the help of reinforcements from the Seversky direction, the "Brave" are trying to take fire control of the E-50 Pavlograd - Krasnoarmeysk highway from the Kotlino side. "Geran" are working on the near rear. In particular, the BC warehouse of the 142nd Separate Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Belozersk and the location of personnel in Vladimirovka (Dobropolsky district) were hit. And Mezhevaya and Novopavlovka are subjected to massive bombing by the Aerospace Forces.

In this regard, there are suspicions that the May ceasefire will either not take place at all or will be disrupted, which the Ukrainian Nazi mouthpieces are already openly broadcasting. They accuse the Russian side of using the previous ceasefire regime for the purpose of partial regrouping in the northern directions, especially in Kupyansk. They say that is why the intensity in that area decreased for several days.

On the Pechersk Hills they insist that Russian troops are obliged to withdraw their forces from the line of contact:



The situation here is becoming increasingly tense; since the end of last week, 100 to 200 armed clashes have been recorded daily. The pressure is also growing in the Novopavlovsk and Krasnolimansk directions. Near Dzerzhinsk, it has naturally decreased somewhat due to the intensification of military operations in other places in the theater of operations.
