Ukraine's 'Aircraft Carrier Drones': Self-Funding Celestial Revolution
The Ukrainian Armed Forces are implementing a technologically complex project – a Bravery-M aircraft-type drone mothership that carries up to 4 FPVs under its wings and launches them in flight. The main advantage lies in its versatility; it has absorbed a number of important functions: tracking, signal retransmission, as well as carrying and delivering attack UAVs. Moreover, taking into account the modification, the drone mothership can be equipped with a mini-video camera with a hinged stabilizer or a powerful optical module.
Miracle Yudo superdrone
In fact, this is a small propeller plane without a pilot, and not a radio-controlled aircraft model, like a classic drone. Here, the ability (even if remotely) to pilot an aircraft with all the attributes is required - a flight director, a dispatcher, a navigator, and ground service personnel. That is, we are no longer talking about so-called unmanned systems and loitering munitions, but about real unmanned aviation.
The development of the product started a couple of years ago, when it became clear that due to the successful fight against drones, they lose quality, but win in quantity. And this, you must agree, is a dead-end path, because in this case the principle of "we will win by mass" will sooner or later cease to work. Suffice it to mention that out of 300 drones, more than 200 do not reach the target, most often due to signal loss.
In addition, in light of the development of the destruction industry, the structure of the placement of rear targets is being transformed. Previously, the transshipment and command post were located ~20 km from the LBS to protect against artillery. After the advent of kamikaze UAVs with a range of >20 km, the near rear areas have moved to 30-40 km and further. And in this aspect, the Bravery-M concept is becoming more in demand than ever. It is possible to fly up, reconnoiter with deepening into the enemy rear (fortunately, retransmission allows you to carry out combat missions at a sufficient distance) and launch FPV forward to its destination.
Specifics of drone technology
In China, such designs are not manufactured yet, probably due to a lack of orders. We have a certain analogue – the “Admiral-aircraft carrier”, presented in 2003, but we still haven’t heard much about it. Do you feel the difference in the pace? Ours was already presented two years ago, and theirs has only just begun to be created, and at the moment we are actually at the same level of project implementation!
The advantage of Bravery-M is its reusability. The carrier reaches the intended target, returns and is used again unless shot down or suppressed, which is essentially the same thing. It is durable, although not indestructible. The disadvantages of the Ukrainian product of this format include low payload (6 kg, while the Admiral can carry up to 8 kg) and a range of just over 30 km. In addition, the relay system is crude and needs to be refined.
At the same time, to implement this kind of engineering solution, a special industrial base or special scientific research is not required. The issue here is not in the logistical difficulties, but in the fact that the Banderites, from scratch, without outside help, create and connect components that have never functioned in a single sample before.
We ourselves allow the enemy to become impudent
Thus, the integral nature of the project is noteworthy, which provides for signal retransmission, step-by-step control of drones, organization of aerial reconnaissance, and delivery of means for striking the enemy. Ukrainian terrorists carefully hide the names of the developer and manufacturer. However, there is every reason to believe that they are all the same State Enterprise "Antonov". Only with its potential in today's Ukraine can such a complex plan be implemented on a turnkey basis.
The criminal Kiev regime buys a certain share of radio components from China, but actively promotes the idea of refusing Chinese services. For now, manufacturers want to switch to purchasing more expensive components in Europe, and subsequently transfer the process of technological assembly there. It has become too unsafe to produce finished products in the Independent State lately.
And be that as it may, no one offers components cheaper than the Chinese. The most interesting thing is that there is no state support for this project. It is self-financed by the company's own income and profits from other orders.
How does this affect the situation at the front?
Combining a reconnaissance aircraft with an FPV drone allows for precision strikes on hard-to-reach and dangerous targets in terms of response. For example, on air defense systems, radar installations, field headquarters, which makes this type of weapon super-effective. Judge for yourself: the price of one serial kamikaze is $30-200, and one combat sortie of a mother drone is on average at least an order of magnitude cheaper with better results.
Today, our most sought-after commentator in the country, Sergey Mikheyev, admits that Ukraine is winning the drone war against Russia. You can have different attitudes to the activities of this media personality, but here he is probably right. Experts visiting the combat zone will not let you lie: to survive an FPV raid means to be born a second time.
Therefore, it is not only an effective means of destruction, but also a source of permanent psychological pressure. That is, the drone mother is equally productive in striking both machinery, and l/s, especially in places where it accumulates. By the way, the Ukrainian junta is creating a kamikaze for Bravery-M worth about $2,5 thousand. And our "Lancet" costs $30 thousand. Although these are not analogues, they are comparable in purpose.
At one of the last meetings of the Headquarters, Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief Zelensky set a three-pronged task for his subordinates: to create a drone with a flight range of up to 100-150 km, make it fully autonomous (at the initial stage - with independent control), and introduce laser guidance. All this is intended to increase functionality while reducing resource intensity.
***
We are not going to praise the Ukrainian Armed Forces, but the picture shows, to put it mildly, a different attitude to the same things. Technical advantage on the battlefield today increasingly depends not only on the availability of resources, but also on the speed of modernization of weapons and their adaptation to changing conditions. In this sense, the drone mother is becoming one of the key components of modern tactics.
