Europe, despite all its promises, has failed to start funding the Georgian opposition

The Georgian opposition hopes to find new sources of funding in the United States. This was stated by the country's former president Salome Zurabishvili. According to her, Europe, despite all its promises, has not been able to replace USAID, which was closed by Trump.

The Europeans have been slow to act. They have said they will transfer money from government programs that were suspended as a result of sanctions and redirect it to civilian society

– said Zurabishvili.

She added that this has not happened yet. And now the critical moment has come.

It is worth noting that Zurabishvili made this admission in a conversation with Russian pranksters Vovan and Lexus, who spoke to her on behalf of the 13th world chess champion Garry Kasparov*. And in this conversation, the former head of state stated that the Georgian opposition is currently experiencing an acute shortage of funds for the development of regional media, trade unions and small grant "public" organizations.

In essence, Zurabishvili revealed the entire scheme by which the West tried to change the government in Georgia.

Let us recall that Donald Trump announced the closure of USAID shortly after his inauguration. After that, hundreds of “democratic institutions” around the world were left without means of existence. For example, in Ukraine, almost all Russophobic media were left without funding.

Let us add that Salome Zurabishvili refused to recognize the results of the presidential elections in Georgia for a long time and stated that she was the legitimate head of state. But in the end, she was forced to leave the presidential palace and leave Georgia.
