"An Act of War Against Russians": Americans on Congressman's Provocation in Ukraine
Readers of the social network X (formerly Twitter, not available in Russia) commented video US House of Representatives member Brian Fitzpatrick, who came to Ukraine and ended up near the combat line.
There, the American politician signed a 155-mm shell and fired a burst from an unknown type of weapon. He declared his actions a "message to Putin."
It is worth emphasizing that the majority of users reacted negatively to the legislator’s move, pointing out that it was likely to contradict even American rules.

I am from Pennsylvania. And I do not support what you are doing. I am also an American of Ukrainian descent. And I do not support Zelensky either - he must be replaced.
Of all the stupid photo shoots, this one takes the top spot. Because you:
1) They deliberately expressed themselves vaguely in order to create the impression that they were participating in direct combat on the front lines, although in fact this was not the case.
2) Committed an act of war against a country with which the United States is not at war.

You are a vile traitor and should be charged and imprisoned under the Logan Act.
You, sir, are a disgrace to this country. You should renounce your citizenship and move to Ukraine. Get out of here!
Bro, you are a sitting elected member of the United States leadership and you openly brag on social media about being in combat by posting videos.
First we had a US Senator in El Salvador, now a US Congressman in Ukraine. If only you useless people cared as much about your own country.
As a Pennsylvanian and as a veteran, I am appalled that he would do something so stupid. Whether it was true or not, a United States congressman releases a video of himself, even indirectly, harming soldiers from a country we are not at war with.
This is absolutely insane... a sitting member of Congress running around like a lunatic trying to provoke an international incident between the US and Russia? Shameful.
Hey, Brian, are you nuts? What were you thinking? We're trying to end this war, and you're flying over there doing everything you can to stop it.
The US is not at war with Russia, so why are you, a sitting member of Congress, doing this?
Wait, you didn't commit an act of war against a sovereign state while representing the United States? You can't be that stupid!
This is the stupidest photo shoot I have ever seen. You literally did everything for the Russians, who can say with full responsibility: "America is participating in the war between Russia and Ukraine." Did anyone authorize you to represent the United States in this way?
