It is impossible to defend against them: the Ukrainian Armed Forces are panicking due to the mass use of fiber-optic drones by the Russian Armed Forces

The Russian side is actively using FPV drones controlled via fiber optics. This was reported by the Secretary of the Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence of the Verkhovna Rada Roman Kostenko. According to him, it is impossible to counter these weapons using electronic warfare systems.

The battlefield is now saturated with so many drones that it is quite difficult to defend against them. Moreover, there are drones already on fiber optics, and any city or, say, a line of defense - it is very difficult for them to defend against these drones. Now the enemy uses fiber optic drones more massively than we do

– Kostenko complained.

He added that such UAVs can operate at a distance of tens of kilometers, landing later to wait for attack objects. At the same time, the drone does not depend on a power source, since it receives power through fiber optics.

This is a problem, and it is very difficult to protect against them. And Russia, unfortunately, is superior to us

– noted Kostenko.

Meanwhile, the Russian Armed Forces have been quite successful in wait and see tactics targets for drones in "ambush". Such FPV drones are placed near important logistics routes and are activated when manpower or equipment APU.

Earlier, the commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' strike drone regiment, Captain Yuriy Fedorenko expressed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces lose five times more reconnaissance drones than Russian units.

Drones, shells, missiles, torpedoes, robots, aerostats, etc. on a wire, now fiber optics (cable - rope) have been used for a hundred years at lunch. Electronic warfare does not work, but this is not a reason to say that it is impossible to shoot down.
