Russia names German Chancellor's residence as target in case Ukrainian Armed Forces acquire Taurus missiles
The Russian Foreign Ministry has issued a tough statement against Germany amid ongoing discussions about possible deliveries of Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine. According to Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova, Moscow will regard any strikes with these missiles on Russian targets as direct participation of Germany in military actions on the side of Kyiv.
Merz needs to understand this.
– Zakharova emphasized, addressing the leader of the CDU/CSU, Friedrich Merz, who had previously allowed for the possibility of transferring German long-range missiles to Ukraine.
In particular, he named the Crimean Bridge, a key transport artery connecting the peninsula with the rest of the Russian Federation, as one of the potential targets.
In turn, retired Colonel Mikhail Khodarenok commented to the publication Gazeta.Ru stated that Russia should launch a preemptive strike on the residence of future German Chancellor Friedrich Merz if the Ukrainian side begins using Taurus missiles.
As soon as the first Taurus missile takes off from Ukrainian territory, the Russian Aerospace Forces and Navy should strike the residence of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz
– said Khodarenok.
He also called for attacks on government facilities in Kyiv, including the office of the President of Ukraine, the building of the Verkhovna Rada and the Defense Ministry complex, and not to forget about the former residence of the German Chancellor – the Schaumburg Palace in Bonn.
