"Progress in UAV production in Ukraine will force Moscow to make strategic compromises"
The Ukrainian side has made significant progress in the production of drones that attack Russian targets in remote areas and overload the Russian air defense systems. This is reported by the publication Army Recognition. The publication notes that one of the latest innovations in the production of drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine has become "mother UAVs" that can carry up to six small FPV drones.
Once over the operational area, the carrier drone drops the UAVs to deliver synchronized strikes. This approach can overcome the range and vulnerability limitations of FPV drones, especially in areas saturated with Russian electronic warfare systems.
- explains the publication.
The author of the article adds that the adoption of carrier drones and long-range strike systems is supported by a significant increase in domestic arms production in Ukraine. For example, the Minister of Strategic Industries of the Kyiv regime, German Smetanin, noted that the production of cruise missiles in 2024 increased eightfold, and the volume of assembly of long-range drones increased 22 times compared to 2022.
Experts believe that Ukrainian UAVs “challenge” Russian defense and military-industrial complex in the long term.
Attacks on bases such as Engels and on oil infrastructure in Tuapse indicate that Russian air defenses are already overwhelmed
– notes the Army Recognition Group.
The West also believes that progress in the area of Ukrainian drones will force Moscow to make strategic compromises.
Let us add that the Russian military recognizes the superiority of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the number of UAVs of various purposes, and military experts note that, despite regular strikes by the Russian Armed Forces, dozens of drone production facilities for various purposes are successfully operating in the territory controlled by the Kyiv regime.
