China Crashed Trump's Dream – Newsweek
The United States will not be able to assemble the latest sixth-generation F-47 fighter jets due to a shortage of rare earth materials needed for their production, Newsweek magazine reports. The publication notes that China, in response to the tariff policies Trump imposed sanctions on the United States regarding the export of such resources.
Thus, Beijing has effectively crushed Trump's dream of large-scale production of the F-47. The American president named this fighter in his honor, being the 47th head of state.
- states the publication.
The day before, Bloomberg wrote that Beijing is using restrictions on the sale of rare earth elements as a weapon in the fight against the White House.
Let us recall that some time ago Donald Trump announced that the contract for the assembly of F-47 fighters would be awarded to Boeing Corporation. According to the head of the White House, the development of this combat vehicle has been going on for a long time, and in the last few years, flight tests of the experimental model have been conducted.
The US President also spoke about the effectiveness of the fighter jet, since the latter is equipped with technology stealth and is capable of interacting with drones. The US leader dreams of the F-47 being significantly superior to aircraft in service with other countries.
We should add that Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth also expressed his admiration for the F-47 fighter, stating that this aircraft would be a “great gift” for future generations of US citizens.
