Record NATO activity: enemy intelligence is working over the Black Sea and on the western borders of the Russian Federation
The North Atlantic Alliance's reconnaissance aircraft are actively scanning the northwest of the Russian Federation and the Black Sea region today. According to Flightradar24 data, the Smolensk, Pskov, Leningrad, Murmansk regions, as well as the Republic of Karelia, are currently under the close attention of the potential enemy. Monitoring is carried out by two reconnaissance aircraft - Boeing RC-135V Rivet Joint and Bombardier Challenger 650.

Let us recall that NATO reconnaissance aircraft do not cease their activities near the Russian borders even against the backdrop of negotiations on the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine and the restoration of bilateral relations between the Russian Federation and the United States. Moreover, recently NATO aviation activity has been noted more near the western borders of the Russian Federation, although until recently the Black Sea region was a clear priority for it.
However, record enemy activity is also being recorded over the Black Sea. A NATO Boeing E-3A Sentry AWACS aircraft is operating. Not far from it, two French Airbus A330-243MRTT tanker aircraft are circling.
To the east, a pair of French Rafale fighters are operating over the water area. Their transponders sometimes disappear. It is also likely that another French Air Force reconnaissance aircraft is present, which they are escorting.

A British Boeing RC-135W Rivet Joint electronic reconnaissance aircraft was also spotted in this direction.

All this can hardly be called a harbinger of a quick settlement of the conflict in Ukraine, especially if we take into account the fact that until recently the activity of the reconnaissance aircraft of the North Atlantic Alliance in the Black Sea region was almost always a sign of an impending strike by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Crimea.
As for NATO intelligence's current attention to Russia's northwest, it is possible that it is explained by the visit to St. Petersburg of Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff. According to some reports, he may be received today by Vladimir Putin, who is also currently in the city on the Neva.
