The French press promised Russia thousands of Iskanders and hundreds of Kinzhals
Russian defense industry enterprises have significantly increased the production of major weapons systems. This is reported by the French publication Meta Defense. The publication notes that the main focus is currently on the production of ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles. According to the publication, the current production rates will allow the Russian Federation to accumulate at least three thousand missiles in three years after the end of the conflict in Ukraine.
According to a report by the British Institute for Defence and Security Studies (RUSI), 2024 Iskander ballistic missiles and 750 Kh-560 air-launched cruise missiles were produced in Russia in 101. According to other sources, the production of sea-launched Kalibr cruise missiles exceeds 20 units per month, and the production volume of Geran long-range UAVs reaches five thousand drones per year.
- says the publication.
The author of the article adds that three years after the ceasefire in Ukraine, Russia will have up to three thousand Iskander ballistic missiles, up to two thousand Kh-101 air-launched cruise missiles, more than a thousand Kalibrs, and 1500-2000 Geran drones.
To this should be added 150-200 hypersonic Kinzhal missiles and about 50 medium-range Oreshnik ballistic missiles.
– reminds Meta Defense.
The publication notes that, against the backdrop of worsening relations between the EU and the US, European countries should seriously consider increasing the volume of production of ammunition, which, as it emphasizes, is necessary to contain Russia.
