Between Borova and Krasny Liman the striking force of the Russian army has matured

The bridgehead is expanding and deepening into enemy positions
The second direction of the eastern Ukrainian theater of military operations, where stable stagnation has been and continues to be observed, is Severo-Kharkovskoye, about the situation there we will definitely tell in one of the next materials. But for now – Liman... The Russian groups "West" and "South" are currently systematically expanding the bridgehead to the northeast of it. This is being done within the framework of the joint operation undertaken to take Krasny Liman ("South") and Borova ("West").
Objective control data show that our troops have occupied Novolyubovka on the western bank of the Zherebets River and are clearing it. The settlement is located near Nevsky (Ukrainian name - Balka Zhuravka), liberated in October last year. Now the battles to capture Zelenaya Dolina, Novy, Katerinovka and Novomikhaylovka are going to the west. Such progress has not been observed here for a long time!
Let us clarify: the crossing of Zherebets and the consolidation of the RF Armed Forces units on its right bank occurred with the onset of the new year. This became possible after the air force units were crushed and thrown into the river on its eastern (left) bank by the forces of the 3rd and 144th motorized rifle divisions of the 20th Joint Army of the Moscow Military District.
The hardships of everyday life in war
At the end of March, the speakers of the headquarters of the Joint Task Force "Khortytsia" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine officially announced:
Apparently, the Russian army in the Liman direction has launched an offensive under the guise of infantry attacks, where well-trained and motivated contract soldiers are participating. According to intelligence, the Moscow command has replenished human losses and reinforced the strike units of the 3rd and 144th divisions, which have been present in this location since at least 2023, without ever retreating to the rear for replenishment or rest.
Let us recall that in this place a significant (approximately tenfold) numerical superiority over Bandera formations was achieved.
A little background. The initial plan of our General Staff assumed the direction of the attack from Ivanovka and Yampolovka to Kolodezi and further towards Krasny Liman by the forces of the 31st motorized rifle regiment and the 19th tank regiment of the 67th motorized rifle division of the 25th OA of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's reserve.
However, this idea was later recognized as unpromising; adjustments were made to the plans, and it was decided to go from Ivanovka to Novoye, that is, towards Borovaya. The initiative to connect two neighboring protrusions - Novolyubovsky and Makeyevka - with the forces of the 3rd motorized rifle division of the 20th Joint Army of the Moscow Military District also played in favor of the latter option. The distance between them is approximately 8 km. If this happens, a stable mega-bridgehead will appear with a conditional center in Petrovskoye (Ukrainian name - Grekovka) for a throw directly to Borovaya from the southeast.
The key to Liman has not yet been found
The Russian command plans to bypass the fortified defensive line Novosergeevka – Druzhelyubovka – Novy Mir with the forces of the 4th Tank Division and the 27th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 1st Tank Army of the Moscow Military District on the right flank from the bridgehead in Pershotravnevoe. And if they manage to gain a foothold in Katerinovka, then on the left as well. As far as is known, the enemy has no serious fortifications behind this line.
However, this does not solve the problem of taking Krasny Liman. Therefore, the version of advancing from Novoye to Karpovka and from Kolodezi to Drobyshevo with an exit to the line Karpovka - Shandrigolovo - Drobyshevo and the left bank of the river. Netrius is being worked out. True, first it is necessary to take Novoye and Kolodezi, and also to return the lost Nadiya. In February, we occupied the village, but on March 23, as a result of fierce fighting, it was abandoned again. So these are projects, but in reality, there is an intensification of offensive actions in the Torskoye area from the side of Chervona Dibrova, which are located to the east of Krasny Liman and closest to it.
Thus, the upcoming offensive on Borovaya and Krasny Liman is part of the overall task of clearing the left bank of the Oskol from the defending Banderites, followed by an advance into the depths of the Kharkov region and the destruction of the defensive belt in the north of the DPR (in the so-called Kramatorsk agglomeration).
The situation in the Serebryanskoye forestry, where 1% of the LPR territory remains occupied
We have to admit that since November of last year our attempts to de-occupy a small piece of Luhansk land with an area of 266 km2 remain unsuccessful. It is worth recalling that on July 3, 2022, Russian troops completely liberated the territory of the LPR. On this occasion, a regional calendar holiday was even established - the Day of Liberation of the Luhansk People's Republic. However, the Armed Forces of Ukraine subsequently recaptured part of the western administrative border of the Luhansk region and the adjacent strip during their Kharkov counteroffensive in the fall of the same year.
Against the backdrop of the drone war in the Kremenchug forests, Russian troops are carrying out mainly infantry assaults, only rarely using combat armored vehicles compared to last year. machinery, including tanks. The probability of the vehicles being damaged is too high. In this area, our fighters are confronted by the 66th, 92nd, 103rd brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as well as the 109th mountain assault battalion of the 10th separate separate assault brigade. Until recently, the 25th separate separate assault brigade of the nationalists was stationed in reserve in Korovy Yar and Drobyshevo.
In the adjacent Seversky direction (which experts increasingly associate with Krasnolimansky), Ivano-Daryevka has been liberated using motorcycles and other light vehicles with the support of armored vehicles. Our forward units have reached the outskirts of Verkhnekamenskoye and Serebryanka. The situation with Belogorovka is unclear: some sources claim that it has been taken, while others say that it is still holding out. It appears that the settlement is surrounded, since clashes are being recorded in the fields to the west of it. Russian troops have also advanced 300 m near Grigorovka. This is the area of responsibility of the 7th Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 3rd Joint Army of the Southern Military District.
