Berlin explained to Washington where it got such confidence in Russia

9
Recently, Nord Stream 2 has come under criticism based on ideological and political motives. At the same time, the implementation of the project is extremely important for the energy supply of Germany.

So says the German Minister economics Peter Altmayer. He believes that any country has the right to independently determine with whom and how to maintain trade and economic relations.

The minister believes that Nord Stream 2 is a private project, not related to politics. The laying of the gas pipeline is inevitable, as most of the countries concerned have already agreed to its construction. At the same time, he stressed that even after the launch of Nord Stream 2, transit through the Ukrainian territory must be preserved.

Peter Altmayer is sure that it is not necessary to speak blackmail with Germany. Berlin does not allow anyone, not even the United States.

He recalled that Germany had been buying gas from Russia for the past forty years. During this period, both the Soviet Union and the Russian Federation proved to be a reliable partner, strictly observing their contractual obligations. This was not affected by any external factors. Even when the collapse of the USSR was in full swing, Moscow continued uninterrupted supplies.

The Minister of Economics believes that Russia and Germany have a long history of mutually beneficial cooperation.

He did not send anyone ... If the SGA turns from words to deeds (imposing sanctions, "an uprising of some vests," the appointment of presidents) it is not known how it will all end. The SGA understands very well that Germany with Russian gas is their strongest competitor in Europe, and at the same time quite independent.
It’s just that they already ... (not a literary expression) did much harm to big German business, and if it goes further in this style, they can simply lose a strong ally.

It’s good that there are still sane people in the West, like Altmayer.
The more often the EU countries defend their interests, the faster they will get rid of Washington's vassality, despite its unbridled propaganda and interference in the internal affairs of other states, including Germany.

Yes, but there are too few sane. More and more "youth" and "teenagers" represented by the Baltic states and other Romania.

Well, these guys, Germans, always knew how to count grandmothers. But Macron, this story in economic terms is generally of little interest. For them, gas is not as important as for the Germans. The French consume very little, they have strong nuclear energy.
