Venezuelan oil sales proceeds to Russia

2
We recently reported how Caracas He pledged give Washington a "symmetrical answer." He did not take long to wait, because Venezuela is really trying to "rock" and scenario Civil War has already been procured in the United States.

It became known that the Venezuelan state oil company PDVSA transferred the bank accounts of all its joint ventures (JVs) to Gazprombank. This is claimed by Reuters with reference to an internal PDVSA document, according to which the parent company obliges the joint venture to transfer revenues from the sale of Venezuelan oil to new accounts in the specified Russian bank.

Reuters notes that the transfer of accounts to Gazprombank JSC is associated with sanctions imposed by Washington against Caracas. And that’s logical, isn't it? After all, Washington promised to give the money of the “regime” to the calloused hands of impostor Juan Guaido, who declared himself “interim president”. Moreover, the impudent Guaido even decided to change the leadership of PDVSA, but nothing came of it.

In addition, Reuters claims, citing some unnamed, but very informed sources, that PDVSA requires its foreign partners who are engaged in the development of giant oil reserves of the Orinoco River, more likely to decide whether they will continue to participate in the joint venture or not.

Reuters clarifies that the partners of the Venezuelan PDVSA include the Norwegian Equinor (formerly Statoil), the American Chevron and the French Total. At the same time, PDVSA has already ordered its joint venture with Equinor and Total - Petrocedeno - to suspend operation.

It should be recalled that Gazprombank JSC is one of the largest banks in Russia, created in 1990 and having a head office in Moscow. Since July 2014, he has been on the U.S. sanctions list.

As for Venezuela, the legitimate president Nicolas Maduro has so far managed to control the situation, how events will develop further, time will tell. Forecasting is difficult. But in any case, we will follow the situation with interest and inform our readers.
