Czech Republic ready to deploy US missiles against Russia

The Czech Defense Ministry is ready to begin negotiations on the deployment of American missiles or a missile defense radar station. This was stated by the head of the military department Lubomir Metnar in an interview with journalists of the newspaper Pravo.

Such a step is possible if there are any threats to the security of the Czech Republic associated with the termination of the INF Treaty between the Russian Federation and the United States. At the same time, the minister added that although at the moment the actions of the two superpowers did not affect European security, everything can change over time:

We will see what happens six months later, when the deadline expires, during which you can return to the contract.

Lubimir Metnar had in mind Mike Pompeo’s statement, in which he suggested that Russia return to the provisions of the INF Treaty within six months, otherwise the United States would terminate it. The Secretary of Defense regrets that the United States and Russia have suspended the Intermediate-Range Missile Treaty and hopes that the agreement will not be finally terminated.

The idea of deploying elements of the US missile defense system in the Czech Republic is far from new. Back in the early 2000s, this question was raised, but the population of the Czech Republic strongly opposed American radars and missiles on its territory.

Scary at all. The application for fidelity to the USA is next - I won’t regret either the country or the Czechs ... But the Czechs all agree to die for the USA ????
