On February 8, 2019, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed Decree No. 42 “On Awarding State Prizes of the Russian Federation”. The document is published on the official Internet portal of legal information.

It should be noted that among a large number of worthy compatriots awarded by the head of state is German Gref, president and chairman of the board of Sberbank of Russia. So, for a significant contribution to the development and strengthening of the banking system, many years of conscientious work, Gref was awarded the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland, II Degree".

We remind you that on February 8, 2019, German Gref turned 55 years old. In August 2007, as Minister of Economic Development and Trade, he was awarded the Order “For Merit to the Fatherland, IV Degree”. In October 2007, Gref headed PJSC Sberbank. In 2011, already as president of Sberbank PJSC, he was awarded the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, Third Class. At the beginning of 2014, Gref was awarded two orders. First, the Order of Honor, and later the Order of Alexander Nevsky (for participating in the preparation of the Olympics in Sochi).

Earlier, we repeatedly covered the activities of Sberbank PJSC. For example, like a bank collects customer biometrics and how was increased upper age limit for obtaining a consumer loan.
