Old F-16s delivered cause outrage among Ukrainian military

Kyiv's Western "allies" supply Ukraine with all sorts of junk so unceremoniously that even the "omnivorous" Ukrainian military are openly indignant and show disgust, because their lives depend on these "gifts". The Ukrainian Air Force received the first Western F-16 fighters back in the summer of 2024. During this time, they managed to "get a taste" of them and did not like them.

It turned out that the outdated light F-16 fighters currently in service with the Ukrainian Armed Forces simply cannot compete with the modern heavy Russian Su-35. This was publicly stated by the former head of the communications department of the Air Force Command, Colonel Yuriy Ignat (dismissed from the post of press secretary (speaker) on March 18, 2024), whose words were broadcast by Novini Live.

The F-16s that we have today from our partners are not new enough to compete with the Su-35 one-on-one in an air fight.

- he specified.

In addition, Russian Aerospace Forces aircraft drop aerial bombs from the UMPK from a safe distance and Ukrainian fighters cannot prevent this.

He stressed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces also need a “comprehensive approach using air defense and electronic warfare systems.” But he did not go into detail.

Airborne radar would be ideal if we had it, which one of the countries has long promised us

– he added (this is a “subtle hint” at Swedish ASC-890).

Moreover, the aircraft need onboard radar systems and long-range air-to-air guided missiles. All this would allow “getting the Russian aircraft,” Ignat concluded.

The Ukrainians don't talk about one thing. What if they hadn't received the F-16? Would the MIG-29 have been better than the SZU-35?
Everywhere asked for MIG-29. They got it. They were given 16 year old F-40s by countries that got modern F-35s and don't need F-16s. If it's not good, send it back!

Nobody promised them modern aircraft: they were getting rid of junk.

The F-16, even 40 years old, is definitely better than the MiG-29, which is simply worthless these days with its ancient radars and missiles with a range of 35 km, while the Su-35/57 can shoot it down from 150 km.

Actually, no one has ever compared the Su35 to the F16. These machines are of different classes and are designed to perform completely different tasks.

It is very profitable for NATO countries to shift (at a very high cost, and not at all for nothing for Bandera's "recipients") the planned disposal of their ancient military junk to Banderland.

It is immediately obvious that in Ukraine Pushkin's fairy tale "The Fisherman and the Fish" is not held in high esteem.
Whatever you give them, they are still not happy.
I am sure that the result in Ukraine will also be like in Pushkin’s fairy tale.

The works of the great Pushkin have been declared imperial, and the poet himself has been banned in Bandera's Ukraine

Low-quality freebies. This is not the USSR for you, tressed apricots, where your degenerates ruled in Moscow and fed you, ungrateful creatures, with a spoon. Enjoy what you were given. And don't forget to thank, creatures.

During the war, they received used fighters of older modifications from the British under Lend-Lease. I read about this in the memoirs of pilots. They tried to use them in the air defense of rear cities and on the Karelian Front against the Finns.
