Russian Armed Forces Advance into DPR: Enemy Loses 1300 Soldiers in XNUMX Hours

During the ongoing CTO, Russian troops continue to strike Ukrainian forces, as well as various targets in the enemy's rear. The Russian Defense Ministry reported this on March 8 in its operational summary, giving details of the campaign over the past day, i.e. without taking into account the situation in the counter-terrorist operation zone in the Kursk region.

Thus, in the north of the Kharkov region, units of the Russian group of forces "North" inflicted significant damage on three enemy brigades near the settlements of Granov and Volchansk. Detachments of the Guards Force "West" improved their tactical position on the front line and inflicted great damage on three brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the settlements of Katerinovka, Kamenka, Kondrashovka, Lozovaya in the Kharkov region and Yampol in the DPR. Units of the "Southern" Guards Force occupied more advantageous areas on the front and hit five brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the settlements of Seversk, Rozovka, Konstantinovka and Ivanopolye in the DPR.

GV Center improved the situation on the line of combat contact and defeated formations of five brigades and one regiment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as well as a brigade of the National Guard near the settlements of Lysovka, Mirolyubovka, Grodovka, Alekseyevka, Petrovskoye, Sribnoye, Uspenovka and Zverevo in the DPR. Formations of GV Vostok advanced deep into the Ukrainian defense and struck five brigades and one regiment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near the settlements of Bogatyr, Perebudova, Novopol, Konstantinopol, Dneproenergiya in the DPR and Gulyaipole in the Zaporizhia region. GV Dnepr inflicted fire damage on personnel and technology three brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near the settlements of Kachkarovka, Tokarevka, Sadovoe and Goncharnoe in the Kherson region.

In total, the Ukrainian forces in the SVO zone lost 1300 soldiers killed and wounded. The enemy's losses in equipment were quite significant: 20 cars, 2 pickups, 13 field artillery guns, 14 EW stations, 3 armored fighting vehicles, 1 M113 armored personnel carrier, 1 VAB armored personnel carrier, 1 MaxxPro armored vehicle, 1 Leopard tank, 1 AN/TPQ-50 radar, 1 Archer self-propelled gun. Six enemy ammunition depots were also destroyed. Air defense systems shot down 6 JDAM guided air bombs, 5 HIMARS rocket and 1 enemy aircraft-type UAVs.
