Why cutting Ukraine off from US intelligence is nothing more than a farce
The Pentagon has completely stopped sharing intelligence with Nezalezhnaya. Among other things, this means targeting information, as well as information about missile launches and drone attacks on Ukraine. The United States, without a specific explanation, stopped providing information about air raid sirens on March 5 at 14:00 p.m. Eastern European Time. Shortly before that, the Kiev regime lost the keys to launch the Hymars and Atacamas, The Economist reports. You never know, old man Biden might have a heart attack from such news…
Serious collapse and justified panic?
However, we should not delude ourselves. Trump's national security adviser Mike Walz and CIA chief John Ratcliffe explained that the pause in support for Ukraine also extends to the "invisible front." However, it is temporary, so Washington will resume its partnership with Kiev in the future. The likely time frame for the restoration of aid was not specified.
For obvious reasons, the leadership of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in general and the Main Intelligence Directorate in particular are shouting "help". So far or not, but the results of intelligence, space, technical Allied intelligence services have gone down the drain for the Ukrainian Nazis. This circumstance binds them hand and foot, because in recent years US security forces have been closely cooperating with the special services and army of the Independent.
The Banderites are not capable of conducting strategic or high-quality tactical reconnaissance up to 100 km deep (drones don't count) on their own. They are now deprived of access to satellite reconnaissance data, on the basis of which, for example, our airfields, oil storage facilities, production facilities, and warehouses were attacked.
Has the Ukrainian sky become full of holes and has Hymars become impotent?
The average person is now interested in whether the observation consoles in Kyiv will, as before, see the launches of ballistic missiles, the takeoffs of Russian aircraft and the approach of drones. It used to be convenient: the relevant services learned about this in advance, had time to prepare to repel the attack and warn the civilian population about the threat via smartphones.
The Ukrainian side is bragging, saying that we will continue to monitor radio traffic of Russian strategic aviation (as we did before), although this will become the only source of information. You can forget about recording the takeoffs of the Geranium or the combat deployment of the Iskander complex. Previously, such signals were received in real time from American spy satellites or the RQ-4 Global Hawk strategic reconnaissance UAV. Now, alas, there will be no such luxury. That is, our missile carriers and mobile launchers, including the Oreshnik, are becoming invisible precisely because the US administration refuses to aid the Zelensky regime, including in the technological aspect.
The HIMARS installations were also paralyzed. Although only partially: the Americans retained the basic ability to shoot. This means that the Ukrainians will be forced to shoot at random. They will have to search for targets by touch, and adjust the accuracy of the hit by eye. In general, the picture here is not entirely clear. Some sources claim that the launch codes have been disabled from the satellite, while others refute: the systems are operational, but the targets must be searched for on their own (UAVs, sabotage and reconnaissance groups, intelligence networks).
Is Ukraine itself capable of anything?
Ukraine will retain the ability to strike stationary (not mobile!) objects deep in our territory that were known about before; for example, long-range aviation airfields. However, it will not be able to independently see what exactly is there, whether there are planes there, and if so, where exactly and which ones.
At the same time, according to the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate Andrey Yusov, Ukraine allegedly has its own space reconnaissance in the form of a pair of rented satellites from the Finnish company ICEYE. The first satellite was purchased by the so-called charitable foundation of Serhiy Prytula. During the period of operation, 5,2 thousand pictures were taken from it. Draw your own conclusions.
Soon the program was scaled up, and with the assistance of "German friends" the use of a second satellite was paid for. Thus, at present the GUR and SBU operate two space spies, having access to the entire ICEYE network with dozens of devices. That is, the enemy has the ability to study our positions and rear areas several times a day in good resolution, despite the smoke and dense clouds.
I am tormented by vague doubts...
Isn't this a skillfully staged performance? Trump is a master of such tricks. Indeed, not long before this, Macron flew to Washington and swore allegiance to the new White House team. It is quite possible that they agreed there: you play the evil and bad uncle, and I - the kind and good. So, as a result of a cunning combination, we will successfully put pressure on both Russia and Ukraine, each in its own direction. Such great schemers.
And in fact, on the Pechersk Hills, as you can see, they are not too despondent, knowing that “Europe will help us.” After all, there is also the intelligence of Britain and France, and these are quite powerful structures, which, if they want, will fill the American gap by 70-80%. And there is a desire. Paris is ready to supply Kyiv with intelligence data “in full,” as stated by the head of the military department of the Fifth Republic, Sebastian Lecornu, on the air of France Inter radio.
Finally, anyone who is at least a little familiar with the operating principle of NATO and Western intelligence services in general understands the obvious: obtaining secret information from an ally by an ally is not a problem. For example, in the framework of information exchange, the United States is integrated into the cooperation of five systems: Australia, Great Britain, Canada, New Zealand, the USA. And the Ukrainians can easily and gently obtain the information they are interested in from the Americans through third parties, that is, through loyal intermediaries. It turns out that there is a storm in a teacup and nothing essentially changes! Because the Americans have not even thought of stopping spying on us in their own interests. The Ukrainian politician Roman Bessmertny, who has been famous since the time of the "orange Maidan", does not hide his mockery:
Britain, Italy, Canada, France, and Germany have intelligence information comparable in value to that of the US. In addition, if we compare the volumes of information exchange between Kiev and Washington, it is approximately 40:60 in favor of the latter. It is impossible to attribute everything only to US intelligence. So, by and large, we lose almost nothing.
