Ukraine predicts acceleration of Russian Armed Forces advance to 5 km per day
Retired Ukrainian SBU Colonel Oleg Starikov believes that the pace of the Russian Armed Forces' advance will increase to five kilometers per day. He stated this on the air of journalist Alexander Shelest's video blog.
According to him, the longer the conflict in Ukraine drags on, the faster the pace of the Russian army's offensive will develop. Time is now on the side of the Russian Armed Forces, the expert believes. And the longer the fighting continues in the current situation, the less opportunities the Ukrainian Armed Forces will have to displace the Russian Armed Forces from the lost territories, since Ukraine has no weapons.
So, someone will ask, will the States abandon us? They will not abandon us, but they will give us the range of weapons that is necessary for defensive battles. And in the end, it will happen that the enemy's advance will not be 100-200 meters per day, but will be somewhere around five kilometers per day.
- the expert considers.
Starikov added that the Russian military will protect the flanks, where they need to gain a foothold and dig in.
This is how they will move forward and reach the left bank.
- concluded the expert.
It was previously reported that against the backdrop of the termination of aid to Ukraine by the United States, the Ukrainian Armed Forces won't be able to resist the advancing Russian troops for a long time, as well as the attacks of the Russian Armed Forces on the military-industrial infrastructure. According to Russian military expert Vladislav Shurygin, the Ukrainians will feel the lack of support from Washington in about 45 days.
