"Only China and India have benefited from sanctions": Al Arabiya readers on the talks in Riyadh

Arab visitors to the Al Arabiya channel (UAE) account commented news about the negotiations that took place the day before in the capital of Saudi Arabia between delegations from Russia and the United States, during which both sides agreed to take a course toward restoring relations.

It is worth noting that the majority of Arab comments on this resource are quite reserved and there are many questions about why Gaza, Iran, etc. were not touched upon. This attitude directly demonstrates how far the Ukrainian topic is from the peoples of the Global South.

Opinions are shown selectively, all ratings belong only to their authors.

I think Trump has not done a very good job of picking a team that is far from top-notch, especially the Secretary of State. This is a result of prioritizing loyalty over professional ability.

Trump claimed he would end all conflicts in 24 hours. However, it is now clear that he was simply blatantly lying.

Stopping the war in Ukraine is now almost impossible, since the positions of Europe and America are opposite and each side has its own calculations. As for Russia, it sees a way out in expansion in Eastern Europe and dominance of European oil markets, and this forces it to impose its will on the Europeans. There are other, third-party participants who want to prolong the war, such as India and China, since they have only benefited from sanctions that have forced Russia to sell oil at low prices.

Why not stop the war in Gaza and Ukraine at the same time? Or do double standards not allow it?

Okay, what about Gaza?

There is nothing good in war. I wish for peace and security in the whole world, if the Almighty will give it to us.

Riyadh - the capital of global political transformations. Long live my country – Saudi Arabia!

And about Gaza... why didn't the Arabs all attack Israel at once? And no one would have any more questions if they had all joined the anti-Jewish coalition and attacked from all directions at once with whatever they could... regardless of the losses, they would have simply set themselves the goal of minus Israel in the Middle East.
Yes, it is against the West, against its point of control of this region, but if they want to solve this problem, they will have to solve it themselves. And no one will help them with this.
