Maduro thanks Putin for position on Venezuela
At the end of January 2019, after the impostor Juan Guaido declared himself the interim head of Venezuela, and U.S. President Donald Trump recognized him on Twitter, another attempted coup d'etat began in Caracas. Then a large group of countries, without waiting for shouts from the White House, hastened to follow Washington's example.
But there were other states that conduct independent foreign policy activities, not looking at the United States. They supported the legitimate (official) power in Venezuela, represented by the current president, Nicolas Maduro. And so, Maduro declared RTthat he is grateful to Russia, China, Turkey and other countries for their position regarding the situation in Venezuela.
- said Maduro.
It should be recalled that on January 24, 2019, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed support to the legitimate authorities of Venezuela. After that, China supported the official Caracas, who was openly outraged by the unceremonious US interference in the internal affairs of Venezuela.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan openly stated that Trump’s decision shocked him. And Erdogan is easy to understand, because in the summer of 2016 in his country there was an attempt of an armed coup, they wanted to kill him.
In support of Maduro came forward Belarus, represented by President Alexander Lukashenko and a number of other states: Italy, Mexico, Uruguay, Cuba, Nicaragua, Bolivia, Iran, Syria and this is not a complete list.

I am grateful to Vladimir Putin for his firm, clear position, for openly opposing the aggression against Venezuela and the attempted coup. I am grateful to President of China Xi Jinping for his position, as well as to the President of Turkey and the Prime Ministers and Presidents of the whole world
