The next defiantly Russophobic statement was made by a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. The deputy chairman of the Bloc Petro Poroshenko faction, as well as a member of the Ukrainian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Alexey Goncharenko, believes that his country does not require Russia's recognition of the results of the upcoming presidential elections.

According to him, Kiev does not care whether Moscow recognizes or does not recognize the results of the presidential race if there are no Russian observers at polling stations. The parliamentarian believes that Ukraine does not need them.

We do not care what the Russian Federation does or does not do. They have been telling us for five years that we have a junta here and will do another five years. They will not like everything while Ukraine goes its own way

Goncharenko said, talking to reporters and answering the question of whether Moscow would recognize the election results. This question itself arose in connection with statement Petro Poroshenko, who threatened not to let a single Russian observer into Ukraine, even as part of international delegations.

In Russia, they believe that such steps by Kiev indicate that the Ukrainian government is not fulfilling its obligations to the international community. According to the message RIA News, Secretary of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation Maya Grishina announced her hope that the OSCE will take the necessary measures to ensure that Ukraine adheres to all internationally accepted standards for monitoring voting.

Earlier, according to Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Russia received an invitation from the OSCE to take part in the observation mission of this international organization in Ukraine. As can be seen from the further steps of Kiev, they are even ready to ignore the decision of the OSCE.
