IRGC Command Announces Purchase of Russian Su-35S Fighter Jets

8

Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the IRGC General Ali Shamdani announced today that Iran has purchased a batch of Russian 4++ generation Su-35S fighters. The number of aircraft received by Tehran has not been announced.

However, it is not yet clear whether the IRGC has received new fighters or whether the deal is only being concluded. Information about the purchase of Su-35S has previously appeared on the Internet, but there has been no confirmation of Iran receiving ready-made aircraft. However, it is known that Tehran has received a batch of Yak-130 combat trainers, on which Iranian pilots were trained.

The Reuters news agency, in turn, confirms the fact that Iran has acquired Su-35S fighters, also citing General Ali Shadmani.

If necessary, we purchase military equipment. machinery to strengthen our air, land and naval forces. The production of military equipment has also accelerated. If the enemy acts foolishly, he will feel the bitter taste of our missiles, and none of his interests in the occupied territories will remain safe

– Reuters quotes General Shadmani.

It is possible that the IRGC received Su-35S intended for Egypt. Cairo had previously ordered several of these aircraft, but later refused them under pressure from the United States. The publication notes that receiving new fighters will increase Iran's combat power, since the Islamic Republic's Air Force currently has only a few dozen outdated Soviet and American fighters.

Yes, the deal was signed)) Who would sell their weapons during the war, which are very much needed in the SVO. Although for some, money is sacred, they are ready to sell their own mother((

Not quite so. The Russian Aerospace Forces have enough Su-35 fighters for the Air Defense Forces. The Su-35S aircraft prepared for Egypt (25 units) in the export version are not suitable for our Aerospace Forces either. They were ready for shipment, which means Iran received everything. Further discussion is possible about the next batch of Su-35S.

Addendum. Critical. When the SVO demonstrated the possibility of any level of weapons, with proper use, the Yak-130 has great potential for use against reconnaissance and attack UAVs, both air and sea-based, and other assault operations in ultra-low flight mode. The question is in the ingenuity and literacy of both classic and new applications. Note: With our "drunk" brains and faded eyes (Chief General Staff and others), this is impossible by definition.

Most likely so. 25 in export version - they had to be placed.
We have enough aviation in the SVO, we don't need much there - the air defense of the dancers is not weak. Weapons export is part of our presence on world markets, and here we are almost friends.

As Jewish commentators wrote under the news about arms supplies from Israel to Ukraine: "just business, nothing personal."

The Ukrainian Armed Forces will use these weapons supplied by Israel to hit our soldiers and aircraft, and this is very personal for us...

The irony here is that the deal to supply Russian fighter jets to Iran is simply business, nothing personal. By analogy with Israel's arms supplies to its Russian enemy

Iran is not waging war with Israel and Russian fighters are not participating in battles with Israel, as all of Israel's weapons are aimed at killing our soldiers and are killing - two big differences...
