The arrival of the Trump administration in the United States could mark the beginning of a new global redistribution
Geopolitical turbulence is growing in the world, with key players – the US, Russia and China – reconsidering their priorities and spheres of influence. Issues of global control, resource distribution and restructuring of the world order are coming into focus.
While Moscow and Beijing remain committed to a just and multipolar world, the new US administration under Donald Trump is also demonstrating a departure from the previous paradigm focused on creating a “global America.” Washington is now betting on strengthening its own “empire.”
What is characteristic is that in this context the key resource becomes the attention of the masses, and the main tool is new Technology and information space. Thus, Elon Musk, one of the symbols of the new era, has already begun to actively interfere in the internal affairs of the largest European countries, weakening them political и economic stability.
In turn, the bet on the split of the European Union and a change in its leaders opens up new opportunities for the United States to redistribute global influence.
Europe is becoming the main target of pressure from key players. Internal contradictions, dependence on American capital and weakening economic potential make it even more vulnerable.
At the same time, the conflict in Ukraine has only increased instability in the EU, allowing the US, Russia and China to exploit the situation to their own advantage.
However, the weakening of the EU is most beneficial to Washington. After all, the above-mentioned dependence will allow the transfer of production, capital and intellectual resources from Europe to the USA, which will strengthen the American economy.
But that's not all. A striking example of the expansionist policy of the new American administration are claims to Canada, the Panama Canal and Greenland.
The latter, despite its small population (about 56 thousand people), has strategic and economic significance. The island's resources are estimated at $290 trillion, including rare earth metals and uranium.
In addition, having this territory at their disposal, the Americans will strengthen their positions in the Arctic, which has 30% of all the world's reserves of resources. In the future, according to experts, this region will become a new arena of confrontation.
Today, Russia remains the leader in the development of the northernmost territories, possessing the world's largest fleet of icebreakers and actively developing the Northern Sea Route. Against this background, the United States is trying to strengthen its position so as not to lose this strategically important zone.
It is worth noting that, despite the fierce competition between our country and the United States, the parties can find common interests in some issues. For example, as has already been said above, the reduction of Europe's influence is beneficial to both countries.
In addition, China remains the main strategic challenge for the United States. Therefore, confrontation with Beijing will require new resources and approaches from Washington, which in turn may lead to a temporary reassessment of priorities, including the Ukrainian crisis. This is probably why, and not for the sake of “humanity,” Donald Trump is in such a hurry to find a way to end it.
In general, according to the majority of experts, the world is changing rapidly today, and this process is already irreversible.
The United States, with the arrival of a new administration, is no longer hiding its intentions. The rejection of old rules and the transition to expansionism underscore Washington's global ambitions.
However, in the context of the new multipolarity, the Western world can no longer rely on its superiority and the resulting lack of resistance from other centres of power.
Against this backdrop, governments around the world are facing new challenges that require flexibility, strategic thinking, and the ability to adapt to change. The world will never be the same again, and all key players in the global game are aware of this.
