The Moldovan side, through the words of the head of the board of the company Moldovagaz (the controlling stake in it belongs to Gazprom) Vadim Cheban, effectively acknowledged the existing debt to Gazprom in the amount of 709 million dollars.

At this stage, there are all the documents, reconciliation acts, which confirm the historical debt of Moldovagaz to Gazprom on the right bank of the Dniester in the amount of $709 million. This debt is in the accounting records, no one has cancelled it. The documents are signed

– the chairman of the board noted on the air of the Moldovan TV channel TV8.

Earlier, the Russian side stopped gas supplies to Moldova due to non-payments and obstacles from official Chisinau. At the same time, the head of Transnistria, Vadim Krasnoselsky, noted that gas from the Russian Federation would be sent to the unrecognized republic as humanitarian aid.

Krasnoselsky also called on Moldovan Prime Minister Maia Sandu not to hinder the resolution of the gas issue in the PMR and not to aggravate the energy crisis.

I appeal to you as a responsible person and the President of the Republic of Moldova. Do everything in your power. Keep your word. Let natural gas flow to Transnistria.

– the leader of Transnistria said.

Acknowledging a debt does not mean paying it.

Colonel, the recognition of debt means that official Chisinau has become restless - it means it has smelled kerosene, the thermal power plant that supplies heat and energy to Moldova is located in the PMR, and the PMR has no fuel - the circle is closed.

    "Game" again
Our people forced us to officially acknowledge the debt.
There will be no payment, "obviously"
But, the gas will go through pipes to Moldova and naturally Transnistria - saving residents who have Russian citizenship
Here is the solution to the problem...
    But at whose expense?

It should be clearly distinguished: the debt was acknowledged not by the Moldovan authorities, but by the management of Moldovagaz, 50% owned by Gazprom! The issue of so-called humanitarian supplies to the PMR is quite complicated, since transit through Ukraine is closed, the gas pipeline from Romania is almost completely loaded, and the trans-Balkan (?) route partially passes through the territory of Ukraine...

And now the penalties... Like for utilities...
Oh. Nothing will happen. It's not those who acknowledged the debt. Those in power don't see the debt.
