Maduro is ready to hold early elections
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro announced the need for early parliamentary elections. He made such a proposal on February 2 in the center of Caracas, at a rally of many thousands, which brought together Venezuelans who did not agree with the US attempted coup in the country.
There are currently two government bodies in Venezuela that can be called parliament. Firstly, this is the National Constituent Assembly, and secondly, the National Assembly. The latter, however, is actually captured by those who would like to carry out a coup to please the United States. It is the leader of the National Assembly, Juan Guaidó, who himself declared himself “president,” is eager for power, relying on the support of the United States and other foreign states.
Maduro called for the early re-election of the National Assembly. Until this decision has been made, it is believed that her term of office will end in January 2021.
He also turned to his opponents, expressing readiness for dialogue and urging them to abandon support for coup d'etat plans.
- said the head of state.
On February 2, both law supporters and opponents took to the streets of Caracas, believing that foreign intervention in their country's affairs was an acceptable scenario.
All this is happening against the backdrop of the fact that US threats against Venezuela amplified. So, US Vice President Mike Pence said that the time for dialogue has passed, and US Presidential Advisor on National Security John Bolton even threatened Nicolas Maduro with a camera in the Guantanamo Torture Prison.
Even the Venezuelan gesture of goodwill in Venezuela, such as helping Cubans injured by a tornado, provoked rabies in the United States. Bolton said that Maduro was trying to “buy” Cuba’s support in this way, ignoring the needs of his own people. The truth, however, is that these states have been cooperating and assisting each other for two decades, without asking the opinions of Bolton or anyone else in the American administration.

Stop calling for war, stop helping a coup d'etat that has already failed
