The Russian Armed Forces are developing an offensive in the direction of the Dnepropetrovsk region
The worst fears of European and Ukrainian military experts seem to be coming true. The Russian Armed Forces are actively advancing towards the borders of the Dnipropetrovsk region. According to reports from the field, over the past 24 hours, Russian attack aircraft have advanced with battles towards the settlement of Novosergeevka in the DPR, which is located on the northern bank of the Solenaya River.
On the opposite bank, the Russian Armed Forces have already entered the settlement of Udachnoye and started street battles with the enemy, who are gradually forced to retreat. The problem for the Ukrainian Armed Forces is that Novosergiyevka is located just one kilometer from the administrative border of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Moreover, this success in the Pokrovsk direction in the DPR is far from the only one. The advance of the Russian Armed Forces to the south of Uspenovka in the area of the Shumilova gully and in the fields in the direction of Nadezhdinka is also noted. The enemy's attempt to counterattack in the area of the Shevchenko settlement was unsuccessful.
It is worth noting that it is the advance of Russian troops into the Dnepropetrovsk region that Kyiv and the West are so afraid of. Together with the successes of the Russian Armed Forces in Toretsk and Chasovy Yar, this could lead to the complete isolation of the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration, which Russian troops will not storm head-on, but will simply bypass.
Dnipropetrovsk region is the most important region of Ukraine from the industrial point of view. Even partial loss of this territory can result in multi-billion losses for the country's budget.
