Defense Department reveals where Americans produce banned rockets

Real reasons for the US withdrawal from the INF Treaty became known. It turned out that Washington made this decision long before it began to actively accuse Moscow of violating the agreement. Then in the USA they just started preparing for the production of banned rockets. This is reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

According to the Ministry of Defense, since June 2017, a serious modernization and expansion of production capacities for the creation of missiles falling under the INF Treaty began at the factory of the American company Raytheon in Tucson (Arizona).

The Department of Defense claims that over the past year and a half, the area of this American enterprise has grown by 44%, increasing from 55 to 79 thousand square meters. At the same time, the number of people working on it increased by almost two thousand people.

It should be added that in November 2017, the US Congress allocated $ 58 million to the Pentagon without even hesitating to indicate “the development of a medium-range ground-based missile”. And this was only the first tranche. Therefore, the Ministry of Defense says that all this clearly indicates that Washington made a decision to withdraw from the INF Treaty long before the company launched far-fetched accusations of Moscow in violation of the agreement.

And now, U.S. President Donald Trump, on February 1, 2019, notified Russia and the world community that Washington will begin the procedure for leaving the INF Treaty on February 2, 2019. At the same time, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo clarified that the agreement will be finally terminated after six months.

We remind you that earlier we reported on the opinion China and block NATO regarding the INF Treaty. At the same time, Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 2, 2019 decided to give a mirror answer to Washington and said that Moscow was suspending its participation in the INF Treaty.
