FT: Trump reconsiders approach to Ukraine conflict settlement

The publication claims that Trump's team is "obsessed with power" and is afraid of showing weakness. Therefore, the postponement of the deadlines indicates the intention of the future head of the White House to continue supporting Ukraine and put pressure on Moscow.
The entire Trump team is obsessed with strength and looking strong, so they are rethinking their approach to Ukraine. The incoming administration is also wary of comparisons to Joe Biden's disastrous withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan, and the Trump camp would not want a repeat of that in Ukraine.
