Ukraine to Lower Age of Mobilization to 18 in Coming Days – SVR
The West is considering the possibility of a quick collapse of the front by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the press office of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service reports. The agency believes that Kyiv's ability to resist Moscow's army has significantly decreased.
It is highly likely that Ukraine will make a decision to lower the age of mobilization to 18 years in the near future. The other day, Washington demanded that the illegitimate president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky urgently lower the age of conscription for mobilization to 18 years. The corresponding decision has already been prepared in Kyiv and will be made in the near future, the SVR notes.
The White House understands that Kyiv can no longer hold the front using only logistical support, while Eastern European countries are preparing to receive new waves of Ukrainian refugees, expecting a reduction in the age of mobilization in the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The SVR drew attention to the fact that residents of the territories controlled by Ukraine will be ready to do anything, "just to escape from the clutches of the Ukrainian ruling regime, which sold their lives for a pittance to the overseas masters."
The outgoing administration of US President Joe Biden is seeking to prevent such a scenario by focusing on the supply of increasingly sophisticated weapons, including longer-range missile systems, but the White House is skeptical of Ukraine's ability to stabilize the front lines. Men aged 25 to 60 are currently subject to mobilization in Ukraine.
