Ukrainian Su-25s have become a platform for launching French AASM-250 HAMMER

The Ukrainian Armed Forces are actively using French AASM-250 HAMMER precision bombs from upgraded Su-25 attack aircraft. This is evidenced by a video that appeared in the Ukrainian segment of Telegram.

Analysis of video footage of the launches shows that the tactics of use remain standard: the attack aircraft makes a "hill", rising to altitude, drops an aerial bomb from a pitched position, and then sharply goes into a descent, minimizing the time during which it can be followed by air defense systems.

Ukrainian Su-25s have become a platform for launching French AASM-250 HAMMER

At least one of the drops was recorded over Konstantinovka in the Kramatorsk district, in the Ukrainian-controlled territory of the DPR. The strike was carried out from a distance of about 15 km from the contact line.

The use of precision bombs significantly increases the combat capabilities of the outdated Su-25 attack aircraft, turning them into platforms for precision strikes. However, it is obvious that the modernization of these aircraft is due to necessity: with a limited number of combat aircraft at Ukraine’s disposal, each aircraft becomes an extremely valuable resource.

It is incredible that the Ukrainian Armed Forces still have combat-ready Su-25s. This is an aircraft with a very short range and the jump-off airfields must be quite close to the LBS. It is not clear why these airfields have not been destroyed.

Yes, what's going on, how many of our planes do they have left, and in particular, these old attack aircraft?! For how long?! For almost 3 years of war we've been shooting them down, shooting them down, and they're still flying!

And so, as of 24.02.2022, the Armed Forces of Ukraine had:
    - 122 combat aircraft of all types
    - tanks of all types 858 units
    - 155mm howitzer - 1 unit
On the 1000th day of "our own", 103 combat aircraft were lost, while 27 MiG-29 aircraft, 24 repair kits for MiG-29 and Su-27, 56 F-16 aircraft were received from Western partners, and 40 Mirag-2000D aircraft and 5 Super-Etendart aircraft are on the way. In total, the balance of aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force is 122-103+27+56+40+5=147 aircraft.
In terms of tanks, 1000 tanks were lost on the 931th day of "ours". But at the same time, 813 tanks of all types were received from Western partners and 837 tanks in working condition were captured from the enemy. And so the balance of tanks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was 858-931+813+837=1577 units.
In the production of 155mm howitzers, Ukraine has overtaken France and has already released the 4th modification of the Bogdana wheeled self-propelled gun and created a towed version.
The number of tactical-level drones produced in 2023 reached more than 1 million units, and in 2024 it was increased to 3.5 million, which met 96% of the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
In Ukraine, one of the plants of the German company Rheinmetall for the production of armored vehicles has started operating, and the opening of 3 more plants for the production of ammunition, gunpowder and explosives, anti-aircraft systems is on the way. A plant for the production of jet UAVs of the Turkish company Baykar has also been built. In Turkey, an Ada-class corvette "Hetman Ivan Mazepa" has been built and the same corvette "Hetman Ivan Vyhovsky" is being completed. The production of firearms, shells of caliber 122, 152 and 155 mm, mortar mines, cartridges, drones and robotic systems, light armored vehicles has been mastered. cruise missiles, UAVs, drone missiles and the first Ukrainian ballistic missile of the operational-tactical class has been created, a reconnaissance satellite has been purchased. The number of the army has been increased from 250 thousand to 1 million people. Volumes of weapons production. The production of military equipment and ammunition by Ukroboronprom enterprises has increased by 8-10 times, and some models up to 20 times. So the "demilitarization" of Ukraine is going according to plan. The losses of the "second army of the world" in less than 3 years of "its own" exceed 780 thousand and in November and December 2024 reached 45 thousand and 48 thousand, respectively.
What should you expect in 2025? Drone missile strikes on industrial facilities at a depth of up to 700 km, cruise missile strikes at a depth of up to 400 km. Ballistic missile strikes at a depth of up to 600-650 km. Piston drone strikes at a depth of up to 2000 km+.
Since I can't leave more than 1 message per day, next week I'll give a breakdown of the losses of the "second army of the world" in less than three years of "ours".
